What's the proper way to include the individual titles/projects of a series by publisher, etc. then?Malestrom (talk) 03:15, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Thnx, but I knew that and that's not what I asked. Would it be proper to use a bulleted list instead? From all I gleaned on "Section Headings", I'm not in the wrong giving an individual publisher/title its own space & subheading, but I'm willing to defer to a bulleted list if it seems better to you.Malestrom (talk) 03:49, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
The point of the comic page is to list a general summary of the issues or series run, including the creative team and other background info, with links to further detailed info(such as individual titles & story arcs, if relevant), etc. while the franchise page exists to give an overview of the actual products that are in the franchise itself, from the original films to novelizations and spin-offs or other licensed products(ie: if there were TCM bubblegum, then it would be included here with the manufacturer, date of production, alongside any other TCM-based candies, etc). There is no harm in having a list of items *in* a franchise on a page dedicated to the franchise itself...that's the very point of having a "franchise" page, is it not?
I didn't "just list every comic book title"...I didn't even give individual issue numbers, story titles, synopsis or other superfluous information, etc. beyond those that were most interesting or noteworthy. What I did was give a list of series/issue runs by publisher(and was still in the process of working on the page when this came up, so wasn't even close to what I would consider a "finished" stage).
Admittedly, I think there's some leeway for making a bulleted list instead of subheaders, as I've said before and am still willing to defer to, but the "Appropriate topics For Lists" section references that "Some Wikipedians feel that some topics are unsuitable by virtue of the nature of the topic. Following the policy spelled out in What Wikipedia is not, they feel that some topics are trivial, non-encyclopedic, or not related to human knowledge."...with that in mind, I think that you're just being overly subjective on this matter, and also with that in mind, I'm "fully prepared to explain" and defend why the formatting on this page is acceptable and beneficial.Malestrom (talk) 05:21, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
Lol, that's the exact example I would give for the *inclusion* of bulleting or subheaders :I Malestrom (talk) 05:36, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
Check out the James Bond films page for a subheaded format that makes sense and, as a bonus, provides navigational clarity from the infobox down.Malestrom (talk) 05:53, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
The James Bond page didn't fail it's assessment, it was delisted...and for no reasons that are relevant here; the reasons cited had to do with charts, images, links and inline citations...nothing to do with the layout of the bullets/subheaders or written content of the page, whether in prose form or not. Again, I maintain that you're just being overly picky on a project that you have an interest in.Malestrom (talk) 06:44, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Would you prefer a table instead? Not my ideal choice(I think bullets & subheaders visible in the infobox are preferable and far from "unprofessional"), but I could also defer to a table or combination of the two...similar to these two "worthy" examples on wikipedia, for both style and content: List of bridges to the Island of Montreal and List of numbered roads in Kawartha Lakes.Malestrom (talk) 07:14, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

AfD on Douglas Tait/Creature character performers

Thanks for your comment and support on the Douglas Tait AfD. I also noticed your edit of the BLP. You raised an interesting point that I have long contemplated. You're exactly right that performers like Tait, Andy Serkis, Doug Jones, Brian Steele, Kane Hodder and Derek Mears get marginalized because of the question: are they actors or stuntmen? When the real answer is they are both - but they are also creature character performers, which is a specialty in itself. Their fanbase and the film industry sure know the difference. But Wiki doesn't have a page for either "creature characters" or "creature character performers" and it seems it would be very useful if it did. Would you have any interest in collaborating to create those articles? With all the work you've already done in this area and your knowledge on the subject, your help would be invaluable. Thanks! Television episode and season articles badly needed

Because of the high number of edits that you have made at Wikipedia talk:Television episodes, I would like to call your attention to a list of the most critically acclaimed episodes and season articles that need to be created: Wikipedia:TV-EPISODE#Important_articles_to_be_created.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:15, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

X4n6

Do you have any desire to report X4n6 for WP:3RR? He has clearly violated it at Douglas Tait. I would, but won't have time for several hours. Novaseminary (talk) 14:15, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Novaseminary's disruptive editing

I invite you to review the full record on the Douglas Tait AfD, then review the BLP's log for the kind of edits Novaseminary consistently makes to the article. This editor has already been ANI'd for this behavior of obsessive battling and persistent disruptive edits just 3 months ago, continues to ignore all warnings now and is fast tracking another one. This editor has engaged in an unrelenting one-person campaign against this article for over a year and this AfD is simply the latest forumshopped effort. This editor's stated intent and clear record is to delete and/or diminish the BLP: either piecemeal or all at once; by whatever policy or means are necessary; but absolutely not to improve or strengthen it. I invite you to monitor the situation for your imput. Many thanks. X4n6 (talk) 19:28, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

The Avengers

Just wanted to say that I appreciate your good faith edits to The Avengers (2012 film). Forgive me if it seems that I am stepping on your edits, courtesy sometimes gets lost in edit summaries. I know we are both working to improve the article.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:35, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Smallville Season 11

I see that you removed my image. That's okay, but maybe you can create a new page titled Smallville Season 11 with it, just as Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 and Season 9 pages. Just a suggestion to rise awareness for fans.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 18:37, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

Actually, what I read from DCComics.com, they will print Smallville Season 11 on May 16 as regular comic book series after the digital comics.[1][2]

hey

I hope we could get along with editing. I notice you are given lectures and I appreciate it because you are doing it for the good of the article. I definitely could tell that you are a expert of making articles great when noticing your work on Smallville and Friday the 13th related articles so I definitely value your opinion if I did anything wrong. I just hope I am not annoying you with my editing or whatever. Jhenderson 777 14:59, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
