I have just found your message regarding editing of the honeycombs

I must point out until now I was unaware of your message so sorry for that

What I would like yto bring to your attention is the statment I have been deleting refers to Martin Murray having secured legal rights to the name THE HONEYCOMBS !! This is not true The rights to the name are owned jointly by

Murray Was paid off in the mid 60s to the tune of £12.000 as full and final settlement of any claim to the name The Honeycombs and any future rights whatsoever. I respectfully suggest untill you have been furnished with hard evidence of Murrays cliam, that you should remove this statment.

Hi. Thank you for your note. Wikipedia has three core content policies to govern its articles. These are "verifiability", "neutrality" and "no original research". Wikipedia is a tertiary source; we do not originate information, but collect information that has been published elsewhere. Much of the information in The Honeycombs is based on the writing of journalists Richie Unterberger and Bruce Eder, who say at the Allmusic biography for the band, "Murray eventually secured his rights to the name and reorganized a version of the Honeycombs in 2004, though later in the second half of the decade there was an ongoing dispute between him and several other interim members, who were using the name the "New Honeycombs."" If Allmusic retracts this from their biography, then it will no longer be supported by a reliable source and it can be removed from the article. Alternatively, if another reliable source - a newspaper, magazine or book, for instance - publishes an article that we are able to access which claims otherwise, we can add information on the dispute.

I have altered the language of the article to remove the word "legal" as this is implied, but not explicitly stated by the source. We really can't do anymore until additional sources are available or until the source that we are using changes. Please let us know if they update their biography to withdraw or alter this information, which I would hope they would consider as soon as you can furnish them evidence of the settlement you describe.
