Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, BkdavisJserra. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article JSerra Catholic High School, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to JSerra Catholic High School. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. • The key is that you need to get consensus about the inclusion, and that requires discussion on the article's talk page. I've started a threat at Talk:JSerra Catholic High School#Do molestation charges against a staff member belong in the article? because I think you have a point that the material should not be present in the article—not because it's negative material about the school but because it's about one single individual not acting in the school's name, so it doesn't reflect on the school as a whole. WP:NPOV requires we present good and bad material about a subject, but there's no policy requiring us to discuss every issue tangentially related to the subject. That said, it's a fine point, so I've opened discussion about the issue rather than removing it directly.
