Opt-out templated appended

This message should include the opt-out template. Also, that template should be invisible since we're contacting the bot's operator.

BlevintronBot (talk) 14:12, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

cool. but maybe there should be a newline before the template. Blevintron (talk) 14:13, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

Bot Source Code

Note that if I go into the previous history of that page, I can easily view the source code. ~ ⇒TomTomN00 @ 15:16, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

That's fine. I'm not trying to hide the code. I just don't want to maintain a copy on wikipedia anymore.Blevintron (talk) 15:17, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

High Speed Flight RAF

Copy/edit for my talk page: May I ask why you undid this edit to High Speed Flight RAF? References (1) and (5) are definitely dead links. The two wayback links work well. What was the problem? Blevintron (talk) 13:37, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I started something and then promptly fell asleep. I appreciate the replacement of the dead link by a bot but wanted to simply change the url to the new archived site, rather than than have a dead link and archived link in the same citation "string". Thanks for letting me know. Blevintron (talk) 14:34, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
No problem, I just lost track of what I was doing, and went off to bed. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 15:18, 21 April 2012 (UTC).

Source code for linkrot bot

Hi. I'm happy you are working on the linkrot issue. Why don't you publish the source code in Google Code or GitHub? They use Subversion and git. emijrp (talk) 07:02, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

I have always intended to release the code as open source. Initially, I uploaded the code to wikipedia, but that was less than ideal. I will set up a public repo somewhere. I'll report here when I finish. Blevintron (talk) 17:28, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Done I put it on github. It's sloppy, but it works 99% of the time ;) Blevintron (talk) 18:03, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. emijrp (talk) 20:16, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
