Quick service. Thanks. Trekphiler (talk) 14:08, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Or maybe I spoke to soon... Have you got it in Image:PSW format? As is, it'd take an upload to WPCommons. (Unless you haven't, in which case...) Trekphiler (talk) 14:11, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's it. No changes required. Thanks. Trekphiler (talk) 14:41, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, the system won't recognize it. I'm gonna post to the Userboxes page, maybe somebody can fix it. Ah, well. Thanks anyhow. FYI, I've been filling the red links here; should be done soon. Trekphiler (talk) 14:47, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not like copying pages is hard... =] I wanted to use it in a "created page" userbox & a "fan of" userbox:
File:Plane logo.pngThis user created the article BVL-12.
or

Obviously, it needs some work. Trekphiler (talk) 15:07, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you can make these display correctly, more power to you! Personally, I like the "userbox 1", but you might try a "userbox 2" variant, with the logo on both sides, too. Trekphiler (talk) 15:10, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Outstanding! You really do rock! They're going in now... Trekphiler (talk) 15:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The double one is a great touch for somebody that's at both. (Too bad you can't do a triple or quad, for somebody here & at the sister projects, too... Oh, well. Just use 2 or 3. =]) I've posted them at the Userbox talk page, credit to you. Thanks again. Trekphiler (talk) 15:24, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
One suggestion. To differentiate PSW from TrainSW & TruckSW, you might use a different BG color. I liked the blue for sky, but I'm thinking white or grey for trains (in lieu of silver, for rails) & grey, white or yellow (in lieu of black, for tarmack, or white/yellow for dividing lines) for Trucks. If you want to bother... And the "suggestions" page is here. Have a good one. Trekphiler (talk) 15:31, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

<--If these prove even a tiny bit popular, somebody'll do the template for you. I put up a Beatles one once, & it came back templated. Me, I'm happy to cut & paste. Works just as well. Trekphiler (talk) 15:33, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you're happy with it, ignore me. I don't like the "clear" BG; I prefer a more-defined box. (If there's an outline, tho...) Trekphiler (talk) 15:50, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just noticed this.

This user created the article Standard H-2.

Can you fix the difference in font size? I haven't a clue.... Thanks. Trekphiler (talk) 02:22, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for welcoming me![edit]

I just wanted to ask you a question: How do I add userboxes to my page?

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TrainSpottingWorld_logo.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TrainSpottingWorld_logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 04:46, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the licences on each of the logos you uploaded to reflect their existing GFDL status and have, I hope, corrected the licencing for you. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 06:50, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was looking at PSW's "Wanted pages", & I wondered, when they're filled, do they get removed? I saw "List of military aircraft of the U.S.", for instance; I've created "List of U.S. military aircraft" (including USN) already... If they get taken down eventually, k, & if not, no big to me; I just wondered. Trekphiler (talk) 04:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC) (P.S. Found {{user helper}} on PercytheGreen's page. Thanks. 04:36, 8 April 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Ignore my last. I figured it out... Trekphiler (talk) 06:04, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Newsletter[edit]

Ohhh sorry I didn't realise. But at least you had time to post on my talk page... Anyway it wasn't a personal attack, the list of recievers has grown dramatically in the last month and I don't want them to feel it was a waste of time. Unisouth (talk) 06:25, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed your changes to Template:National Tramway Museum. Could you explain the reasoning behind removing the direction indicators and shortening the unbalanced horse-tramway line over the bridge? Many thanks and thanks for keeping such a constant eye on the Tramway Museum articles! —Sladen (talk) 09:54, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sladen,
  1. Removing indicators: There are times when the line is run in the opposite, for example in Town End the S/B line was not used, and N/B was bi-directional, crossing over at the depot! Also, to get to GM Stub, trams must go in the wrong way!
  2. Shortening of track: The horse track is only on the bridge - it doesn't go off the sides. There are plans however to put in a track off the mainline to run a shuttle - possibly from Wakebridge/Cabin/Cliffside!
  3. Also, the modifications to Wakebridge are following the recent trackwork!
Thanks,

June Metropolitan Newsletter[edit]

Do you think it is wise lanching the newsletter on the main pages before June 1st? Especialy as it is not completed yet. I was working on the new newsletter myself anyway here. UNI|SOUTH 06:30, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to let you know that I put a : in front of the word Category so that your sandbox doesn't appear in them. I also changed Category:Blackpool Transport to Category:Transport in Blackpool. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 16:54, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Diagrams...[edit]

Yes you can use my diagrams as long as your credit me as Unisouth from Wikipedia. I will make custom diagrams for you but you must contact me through my Wikipedia userpage as I do not want to join your websites.

As for editing The Metropolitan, you can become the co-Editor along with me. We do need to come up with a better design though. UNI|SOUTH 17:47, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes we should be able to have a new design ready for Issue 6. But as for Issue 5 I do not know what we are going to about it. UNI|SOUTH 18:11, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Template help?[edit]

No, I haven't had a chance to look yet. It's on my list of templates that need some work (there's still some {{TrainsWikiProject}} updates that I need to work on as I mentioned on the talk page there), and I've been meaning to get back to TSW again since P:US is likely pretty far out of date by now (or maybe someone else was there to make the updates; I haven't been able to check for a while). But, there's only two week left in this semester at school and I've officially stepped down from a couple other obligations, so my availability should improve in May. Vandal patrol[edit]

That's twice for that nitwit. Thanks. Trekphiler (talk) 04:49, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reply[edit]

Sure, it should be done by tommorrow. Anything specific?--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 22:01, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see what I can do. I will start on it in a few hours since I'm a little busy right now.--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 22:07, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I'll start a little right now. I think I will add a backround color, any suggestions?--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 22:12, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aldenham Overhaul Works[edit]

Thanks for adopting the article: I hadn't written any of it but that's what the heads up was for. I've put a paragraph from the Bushey Heath tube station article on the talk page in case it helps, and you may find more help there and at the New Works Programme article as the sites were closely related. Britmax (talk) 22:19, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - can I ask why you've removed the only image in the article of a locomotive in original condition? Black Kite 23:36, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • That image links in with the paragraph that it is next to, though. If you put it elsewhere, it'll lose its relevance. No problem altering some of the others - they were just some I had lying about that I put in - but that one's important to the article in that location. Black Kite 23:44, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Because that paragraph deals with the introduction of the type in the 1960s. That is the only contemporary photograph we have. The "which way does a photograph face" concern is minor compared to that. Black Kite 23:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • No, contemporary means "belonging to the same period of time". Yes, sandboxing this would be best, it's quite a complex article to be editing a bit at a time. Black Kite 00:01, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I see that you've removed one of the most important pieces of information in the article - the actual power unit that the locomotives were fitted with - as "random information"! I have reverted this, and would suggest that if this is going to be how you intend to "improve" the article, that you do any further editing in a sandbox as you said you would. Black Kite 18:02, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • So the trivia that some have been painted in interesting liveries is more important than the actual piece of equipment that makes the locomotive move? Interesting, but doesn't belong in the lead, so moved. Also, you have now moved the engine information as the first paragraph in the "Origins" sections, which makes no sense whatsoever because that section talks about the development of the design, not the production version. I have no particular wish to get into an edit war, either, but since these changes makes the article far more difficult to read, I have fixed the problems. Black Kite 20:38, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Renovation[edit]

I have done some renovation/redesigning of your user and talkpages. Anything else?--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 00:11, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'll see what I can do. Also, would you like one as the one made in User:RyRy5/Sandbox2?--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 00:19, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, all that info on User:RyRy5/Sandbox2 is not true. I am not 28, nor do I live in Chester (wherever that is). That userpage design if for someone else.--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 00:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 Done I hope you like it. I worked hard renovating it.--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 01:30, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I know they lead you there. All you have to do is edit the page normally to add something. If you need any help in the future, just ask. So, do I get I prize? Just kidding! But it would be nice to have one, but you don't have to. Unless you do.--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 01:33, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, just C+P into the file folder, if you know what I mean. And just delete the other info to replace what you are pasting. Also, the info starts where the file folder says "content".--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 01:39, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I personally like the other one I made. But I do like the logo. Also, I suggest putting the navigation on the top since that is what all users with navigations do. BTW, have you found that prize you were looking for?--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 02:50, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
