Thanks for losing that "dictionary" link from Ali Baba. You might get some flak about it; it had a boatload of effusive literary stuf about "Open Sesame" being such a buzzword in English. but most of it seemed to be pretty unrelated to the story itself. cheers! I'm assuming this was due to a VPN IP, though I'm not sure why my account was blocked instead of just being blocked while logged out and on that IP?Blurble (talk) 20:14, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I can say generally that it is not permitted to edit via a VPN or proxy, as they are often used abusively. We could be more specific if you provided your IP address(you can use WP:UTRS if you don't wish to post it publicly). It's not your account that is specifically blocked, but the block on the underlying IP will prevent you from editing. You will need to turn the VPN off, clear your browser cache, and wait 24 hours for the block to clear your system. If you have a specific need to use a VPN(beyond a general interest in privacy) you may request an IP block exemption from a checkuser(see WP:IPECPROXY). 331dot (talk) 07:22, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
