Wiki Retail Price Comparison Project[edit]

I just bought a server and I'm going to start a wiki for comparing prices for retail stores. We get the price and product availability information from wiki users. Motivated by a four-store trip to find suction cups.

Color Coding Project[edit]

I want to see color coding in the edit section of wiki pages. Similar to HTML color coding in Macromedia Dreamweaver, I'd like to see diffrent color text for tables, body text, tags, links, et cetera. I know it's possible, I just don't know how.

Re: Color coded Wiki Editing Text[edit]

Hey, does anyone know a way to make the Wiki editing text colored by default? Anyone interested in working on it? Let me know on my talk page if you are. Bmunden 22:49, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a feature of the MediaWiki software at present; however there are a number of user-created scripts that can do this, provided you edit a special user subpage (Special:Mypage/monobook.js) and have JavaScript enabled in your browser. See for example User:Cacycle/wikEdQxz 19:25, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually that is not trivial and to my knowledge wikEd is the only such project. If you would you like to participate, e.g. helping to make wikEd cross-browser compatible, please check the wikEd homepage and the new wikEd developer pages (links on the home page) and drop me a note. The article Jenna nikki has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Jenna nikki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hqb (talk) 20:56, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
