Help me![edit]

I am fairly new to Wikipedia. I am having trouble uploading pictures to my page Florence Mary Bird, Sculpture because is says my account is not confirmed. I am sure it is something I am doing wrong but it is very frustrating as I am logged in and seem to have an account. I also can't get the two notification boxes at the top of my article to go away although I have rectified the issues. Please help me with...

Please read here. In summary, if your account is more than 4 days old and you have more than 100 edits, you are 'autoconfirmed' which means you can create and move pages, and upload images. For users accessing Wikipedia through Tor or an exempted blocked IP address, that limit is 90 days and 100 edits. If you feel I haven't answered your query, feel free to put the {{help me}} template back. I'll take a look at the article and make some standard style changes. --BurritoBazooka If you reply here, please add {{ping|BurritoBazooka}} to your message 18:39, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it's four days and ten edits, a hurdle you took earlier today. And you indeed were able to upload those images (in fact, you uploaded three different copies of one of them; I'll delete the superfluous two).
Some comments on the article:
  • It needs higher-quality references. Wikipedia content should be based on reliable third-party sources such as newspapers or reputable art magazines. Blogs or social media like Facebook generally are not considered reliable by Wikipedia. A page of image search results also is not a reliable source; there's no editorial oversight for such search results, and you basically ask our readers to draw a conclusion that Google doesn't even state.
  • It needs footnotes to clarify which source supports which part of the draft. For example, "As she became oriented to the scenery and history of this beautiful state, she was inspired to paint landscapes and riverscapes of the Wisconsin River and the confluence with the great Mississippi." - which of the references would I need to look up to confirm that statement? WP:Referencing for beginners explains how to easily create nicely-formatted footnotes for the sources.
  • It has some tone issues. In the above sentence, "beautiful state" - that's a personal opinion, not a statement of fact. Maybe I consider the state ugly, monotonous and drab - who would claim that my sense of beauty is wrong and theirs is the authoritative one? Similarly, "great Mississippi" - is that a comment on the amount of water it carries at the confluence? If so, wouldn't that be rather off-topic in an article on a sculptor?
  • Since we don't have articles on any other persons named "Florence Mary Bird", there is no need for disambiguation, and I have moved the page to shorten the title and remove the "Sculptor". Huon (talk) 18:56, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
