May 2011[edit]

Welcome and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Kirkland, Washington worked, and it has been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox instead. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
Please note that persons listed should meet Wikipedia's guideline which can be reviewed at WP:BIO. Also, claims of such connections need to be sourced to reliable sources, and unfortunately IMDB does not meet Wikipedia's criteria of being a reliable source. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 19:32, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

June 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Michelle Thomas, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Michelle photo.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Michelle photo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SummerPhD (talk) 03:26, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Talk:Judith Barsi. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. [1] SummerPhD (talk) 03:32, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request for adminship[edit]

Hello, Boberson33. I saw Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Boberson33, and wanted to discuss adminship with you. First of all, requests for adminship are not submitted just by creating the page. There are various templates and such that need to be included on the page. Instructions are found here.

However, before you do that, I want to discuss your chances a bit. Adminship is intended for trusted users with relatively long histories of editing and good judgement. Requests for adminship are known for being arduous processes where your entire editing history is dissected and finely critiqued. Now, although there are no official requirements for becoming an admin, there are unofficial ones. This and this outline general guidelines for becoming an administrator, one of which suggests 3000 edits and 6+ months of editing. Wikipedia:RfA reform 2011/Candidates shows data regarding successful RfA candidates. It shows that in 2011, the average successful RfA candidate has been active for just over a year and has just over 28,000 edits. For comparison, you have 28 edits, and an account under a month old. Frankly, if you run for adminship now, the request is liable to be closed per WP:NOTNOW.

I would suggest you spend more time getting familiar with the project, getting some more time and experience under your belt. Use the guides for advice on areas where you can help, and feel free to ask questions as needed! You can leave any questions on my talk page, use a {{helpme}} template, or come on the live help chat at #wikipedia-en-help connect. Also, if you do decide not to run, please just add {{db-g7}} to the top of the request for adminship you created, and it will be deleted. Cheers! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Youtube poop Videos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. 5 albert square (talk) 23:24, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Youtube poop Videos[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Youtube poop Videos, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 23:27, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to List of Beavis and Butt-head episodes. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. The material added is not supported by the source you mentioned ([2]). Additionally, when adding material, please cite the source, rather than merely mentioning it in the edit summary. Thanks. SummerPhD 02:37, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Gps Thing.Jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:54, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Harold Camping, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Wikipedia talk:Administrators are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you.
