Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope your time here is enjoyable and productive. Your comment regarding pregnancy was rude and breaks the policy of civility on WP. The image has been discussed many times and found perfectly acceptable Maustrauser 01:58, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You may not remove warnings from your talk page. I have reverted it. Lamont A Cranston 22:38, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How dare you! I was trying to make Wikipedia better by trying to make it safe for all! This not considered vandalism this helping other users to wake up, and delete this image! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bobsmith319 (talkcontribs) 20:10, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Please cease removing images from pregnancy. This issue has been debated and a reasonable concensus achieved on the discussion pages. Maustrauser 02:09, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia says deleting images is allowed, and I will if I find crude images such as that one. --User:Bobsmith319 02:10, 27 September 2006 (UTC)bobsmith319[reply]

Indeed it does allow the deleting of images. However, the image in question has general concensus that it is acceptable and educational. Your deeming of naked pregnant women as 'crude' does not have general support by the editors of the pregnancy article. Maustrauser 03:39, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As the photographer of the picture in question, I find it equally offensive that you label this picture as "crude". Goes to show there's two sides on each story. Stop removing it. Inferiz 23:59, 10 October 2006

Please let me explain. I have not removed in several weeks, and don't plan to. I find your view of my thoughts extremly offensive. bobsmith319.

I find you pushing your views on others as offensive. That picture in the pregnancy section is perfect for the article. If you continue to have problems with Wikipedia nudity in other articles, please start a discussion on it first in the Discussion and see what others have to say. If you continue to delete the image as you have done in the past, I will report you. I appreciate that you have said that you will no longer change it. Thanks for your cooperation, and although I don't agree, I respect the fact that you will try to make Wikipedia better for all. Just make sure others want it that way too-thats how the Wikipedia works :) --WhereAmI 05:34, 22 October 2006 (UTC)\[reply]

I find your view of my thogughts offensive. I have started a discussion about the photo, and have found some help as well.

So you find my views of your views of offensive to you in your thoughts to be offensive? Thats fine. Just stop vandalizing the wikipedia.--WhereAmI 05:53, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't vandalize wikipedia. I would consider that making Wikipedia more safe for all. I don't appreciate that you are giving newcomers a hard time. bobsmtih319.

An article that you have been involved in editing, CNA Financial Corporation, has been listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CNA Financial Corporation. Please look there to see why this is, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

I saw a message that you posted about uploading photographs. If you would like to upload photos of Mount Prospect, Illinois, please visit http://commons.wikimedia.org and upload them there. They should have good descriptive names like "Mount_Prospect_Public_Library_Sept_22_2006.jpg" rather than "photo3.jpg". Then the pictures can be used in the English Wikipedia and those in other languages. You might enjoy visiting the Spanish Wikipedia at http://es.wikipedia.org or the French Wikipedia at http://fr.wikipedia.org --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 21:07, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because song lyrics are copyrighted material, we cannot use them in articles without explicit permission from the copyright holder - that is why I removed them from the article. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 00:53, 21 October 2006 (UTC)So, if I had permission, I could put back on?[reply]

  • If you could prove that you had permission from the copyright holder, then they could be used. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 01:06, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your comments about me[edit]

So you were not banned? Oh, I see. I should put you back on my watch page then. I also took the liberty of fixing my wiki page so it did not seem like you were talking about the section "Your article" I gave you your own section, and made a section in yours for people to express themselves about your comments on them.--WhereAmI 04:30, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, then. I find it offensive that you put me on your watch page. I find your comment about me extremly offensive and extremly uncivil as well. [[--Bobsmith319 21:18, 10 November 2006 (UTC)bobsmith319]][reply]

License tagging for Image:Bob-come-on-down.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bob-come-on-down.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:05, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Bob-come-on-down.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bob-come-on-down.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 23:25, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:K-m-k.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:K-m-k.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. cohesion 01:22, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Henry Fonda Music Box Theater, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Your edits to my talk page[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on User_talk:Lamontacranston. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors.

I have withdrawn your RfA[edit]

Hi Bobsmith319. I have withdrawn your RfA, as there was no chance of it suceeding at present. You should probably read it, so you can find ways to improve. Good luck. --Deskana (talky) 11:01, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just further to Deskana's comments, don't be discouraged! You do good work :) Participate in some of the Wikipedia-space discussion such as XFD, and try again in a few months. Pursey 17:22, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pursey, thank you for your kind words! I will participate in some Wikispace, and I plan to try again in early November. --bobsmith319 18:54, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, you're enthusiastic... but, I'd wait until at least January before trying again. A lot of people will Oppose simply based off not enough time since last RfA. Plus three months gives you time to build up more quality edits, and get stuck into XFD etc. I'd suggest asking for peer review too, this can help you out with what you can work on to get the most out of your time on Wikipedia. Pursey 19:06, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice. By the way I was just wondering, what is Wikipedia space and XFD? Thanks, --bobsmith319 19:07, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. Check out WP:XFD. They are the discussions for deletion of articles, etc. which you can participate in :) Pursey 19:31, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • And he's been blocked. Continue as you have been and you'll join him. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 20:51, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Please understand that he started bothering me first, I never bully members, especially without a legitimate reason. I would suggest that you take a look at the contributions and see what he has done to me, as what he has done to me is far more more worse than my responses to his rude messages to me. --bobsmith319 22:09, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • And you're somehow making it better posting nasties on a blocked user's talk page? Doesn't help anything at all. Has nothing to do with you personally -- I routinely ask editors not to harass blocked users. If he misbehaves when and if he returns, we'll notice (and you'll tell us then, I'm sure.) --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 22:15, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spam in Lattof YMCA[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Lattof YMCA, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Lattof YMCA is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Lattof YMCA, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD.
