I see no reason why the link to econlib is blacklisted. The bot may have caught a false positive. Bolarno (talk) 12:54, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a false positive, econlib has been put on the blacklist for multiple reasons, including promotional/spam. This search has some of the discussions on why it was blacklisted and some reasonably recent requests to remove it from the SBL there were rejected. Ravensfire (talk) 18:49, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I have found an alternative link. But I think it is too difficult to find the reason behind a blacklist. Bolarno (talk) 06:18, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your question about the large edits on FRB[edit]

Those are from a very long-term abuse user called Karmaisking who's been pushing fringe and WP:UNDUE material on pages related to banking and economics for over 10 years. Ravensfire (talk) 16:39, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Bolarno (talk) 17:46, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

October 2018[edit]

You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Soapamalkanmaime. Thank you. Reply to Callanecc. Sorry I cannot reconstruct old unsigned edits. It's long ago and I have a different IP now. Bolarno (talk) 10:28, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked from editing[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Soapamalkanmaime per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Soapamalkanmaime. I find the explanation you provided on the SPI page unconvincing especially as you are unable to remember details of the IP addresses you used. To have the experience necessary to successfully navigate and use Wikipedia, you would need to have had extensive experience as an IP editor and would, at least, be able to point to some of the edits you have made.. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 11:06, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have requested a CheckUser and this was denied. An IP check is definitely needed here. Soapamalkanmaime could possibly be on the opposite side of the globe from me. I appreciate the effort to block sockpuppets, but unfortunately you have struck on a false positive here. I don't understand where the suspicion comes from since I have made no vandalism, and all my edits are supported by high quality references. The arguments against me are all pure speculation. The main argument is that I cannot remember which IP address I have used several years ago, and that I am tech-savvy. These are not valid reasons for blocking.

Decline reason:

Checkuser data can never be used to prove a negative, and in any case there is no recent data with which to make a comparison. You were blocked because of the substantial behavioural similarities between this account and User:Adèle Fisher, which you have not adequately addressed. Yunshui  07:32, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Dear Yunshui and Callanecc. Adèle Fisher's last edit was in April 14, 2018. This means that there is recent data for CheckUser. I see hardly any overlap between Adèle Fisher's contributions and mine. A lot of Adèle Fisher's edits are about events in Switzerland. Her last edit was about a Swiss banker Sergio Ermotti. Other contributions include a lot of other topics related to Switzerland. This makes it very likely that she lives in Switzerland. (I assume from the name that it is a woman). Some of the contributions from Soapamalkanmaime are also about local events in Switzerland. I understand that the identity of Soapamalkanmaime and Adèle Fisher has been confirmed by CheckUser.
I live in Denmark and I have no connection to Switzerland. An IP check can easily confirm this. I see no reason why you are suspecting me of being a sockpuppet of Adèle Fisher. This accusation came just out of the blue and was quite a shock to me. I apologize if I have over-reacted because of this shock.
I have noticed that there has been a recent incident of bad behavior on Fractional-reserve banking by the now blocked user NothingsChangedPostGFC, and I understand that there have been multiple similar incidents on related pages. I have great sympathy for your efforts to weed out such abuse - it must be quite tiresome. I understand very well why you are on the alert. However, I don't think that I have done anything wrong, and I don't understand how this suspicion against me has come up. On the contrary, I have done my best to behave in a civilized manner, write in a neutral and balanced way, and support my edits with references of high quality. Please explain the evidency you believe connects me with Adèle Fisher or Soapamalkanmaime, and why you think that there are "substantial behavioural similarities".
