Our article[edit]

So, I created the article yesterday, but it got deleted because it didn't show that it would be different than dating. I challenged it, so the admin made it into a userpage so it won't be deleted, but it's still live and we can work on it. It's User:AMM244/College dating. We should probably make it distinct by tomorrow night at the latest.

The sources that I've found so far that we can use are:

  • SARAH B. STEVENS, M.S. College Dating and Social Anxiety: Using the Internet

as a Means of Connecting to Others

  • Interpartner Concordance of Self-Reported Sexual Behavior among College Dating Couples

Author(s): David Wyatt Seal Source: The Journal of Sex Research, Vol. 34, No. 1 (1997), pp. 39-55

  • Bailey, Beth L. From front porch to back seatAndrewMozdy (talk) 19:15, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I like those ideas. I think we should mainly, at least for now, focus on how it's different from high school and adult dating. They deleted it originally because it wasn't distinct enough to be it's own article. When do you want to work on it? AndrewMozdy (talk) 18:30, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It means that we have to add information that shows that the article will have different content than Dating when we're done. We need to show that there's a significant reason for college dating to have its own article. AndrewMozdy (talk) 01:06, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cool beans. If you want to read through that real fast, I might try to just add a little descriptive text that will give a basic flavor of what we're doing. At least now we have something to go off of with those ideas you came up with. The stuff I did the other day took forever because I was trying to go from a blank slate. AndrewMozdy (talk) 01:34, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I added a bunch of stuff in the intro and history sections. The history one is just a quick run-down of the old courtship process. If you find anything in that article that can back up what I wrote for the intro, that would be cool. Otherwise, I think this might be good for tonight, at least. Your first edits[edit]

Good job leaving a note on my talk page ([1]). I see you did not leave a proper signature; check Wikipedia:Signature for information on how to sign your posts properly, and then come back to my talk page and add a signature there. Also, try starting a new section, with a heading. Also, good job adding yourself to your group ([2]). Keep up the good job, and try making more edits on Wikipedia to get a feel for it! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 23:08, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good job, and well done adding diffs to my talk page. And I see you now use the signatures, that's great! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 16:34, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That looks correct, good job! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 03:46, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To do for College dating[edit]

Good job guys, I've moved the article from your userpace back to College dating, where it should now survive without much trouble. Keep up the good work! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 19:18, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your question at the reference desk[edit]

Good job starting this discussion, but I note that you've not participated in it beyond asking the question. Such discussions can be much more useful if you take part in them. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 01:06, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at Talk:College dating[edit]

Please note there is a discussion going on on talk of your article, and in the relevant deletion debate. While I don't believe your article will be deleted, I expect you'll take an active part in those discussions and improve the article by addressing the issues raised. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 01:09, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Quick Question...[edit]

You can try to do so through WP:RSS. See also Wikipedia:Watchlist. Frankly, I just stick with the watchlist, and check it few times per day. You can also ask others to leave a notification on your talk page if they respond somewhere. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 04:10, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Final Deadline[edit]

I don't have anything on professor/student dating, but I'll see what's out there. Also, did he change the date for the final time to submit to the editors? I thought it was the 14th, not the 7th. AndrewMozdy (talk) 03:57, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is due on the 14th as the final submission, but we need to revise before then which is why we should have it written by this Monday to have time to fix everything 67.20.243.227 (talk) 04:19, 4 November 2011 (UTC)BonnieNoel (talk) 04:20, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your assignemtn has been reviewed. Good job! There are, however, a few errors to fix. Buggie111 (talk) 04:04, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
