re Kate Gosselin

Hi Boston nate. So here's a couple things re Kate Gosselin... we want to be careful about what we write about living people, since we don't want to cause anyone unnecessary distress. Stuff in the Wikipedia gets a lot of traffic and stays for a long time maybe and forms part a person's public image maybe and so we want to be careful. See WP:BLP for details on our rules about that.

Before we want to say something like "there are strong allegations of ... in the book", which is a very inflammatory thing to say about anyone, we would want to talk about this, and think about what the book is, who the author is, if he has standing to say something like that, if he's got his facts right, if you've summarized the book correctly, and so forth. Even then, we'd be very leery of saying something like that. So what you'd want to do is go to the article talk page and lay out your case for including the material and see what other people have to say first.
