April 27 Run

It has been requested that BoxCrawler ingest Category:Schools in the United Kingdom and he has been tasked to do this along with his normal duties. This category (until recently) was the super-category of many "people from" articles. I have removed these categories as they are not schools. I may have missed a few so If BoxCrawler Happens to still find them let me know and I will clean up after him. Thanks Adam McCormick (talk) 23:46, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

This category proved large enough to show a technical flaw in BoxCrawler's Programming. I have fixed the flaw but may now be flawed if it act oddly, at all, block first ask questions later. Adam McCormick (talk) 02:27, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Adding to non-school articles

Can I ask why the bot is adding project boxes to non-school articles. It has added a banner to Ash Green, Warwickshire which is a location article not a school article. The article gives details of a school but so do many location articles. Also it is adding the banner ahead of existing banners it should add a new banner after existing banners. Thanks Keith D (talk) 23:51, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Because the page is in a school category, specifically Category:Arts Colleges in England. If you'd prefer it not be tagged under the schools project it should not be categorized as a school. Adam McCormick (talk) 04:22, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Post-Mortem

The last run accomplish nothing but to point out a syntax error in the template. Might be a technical flaw in the pyWikipediaBot framework. Either way, BoxCrawler needs a nap BoxCrawler (talk · contribs) by Alanbly (talk · contribs) 06:02, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

May 5 Run

Redirect

I dunno how boxcrawler is making its list, but I have just reverted this instance of it tagging a redirect.

I had moved the article three days ago, so it may just be a case of the job list being made around the same time, but shouldn't the bot either resolve redirects or just skip pages which are redirected? --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 18:52, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

He's been running for more than four days, he didn't see you had moved it. It happens rarely. Adam McCormick (talk) 03:36, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
