Michael Sugrue has been nominated for deletion[edit]

Hey @Brad606, I've been notified that Michael Sugrue has been nominated for deletion. I'm wondering if you might be able to share your thoughts at WP:DSPROF. GuardianH (talk) 16:49, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note @GuardianH. I was out of pocket grid during this whole voting thing so didn't get to weigh in. I respect the Wikipedia process for these kinds of things, and it simply seems like "notability" for academics favors standard things like publishing, getting grants, and high-powered seats in departments. A humble, well-learned teacher who changes the lives of thousands of students simply may not be notable.
However, I'm still wonder if there's some way to get the attention of someone like Ryan Holliday (Daily Stoic) to do an interview or some kind of critique of Sugrue's style. That could be notable. I wouldn't know where to begin with something like that, though; if you have any thoughts, please let me know! Brad606 (talk) 21:30, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
