2010 Formula One season[edit]

Have a read here please. --Falcadore (talk) 15:39, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't use websites you created yourself as sources.[edit]

Attempting to reference websites you created when adding drivers 2010 Formula One season will not pass scrutiny and will be quickly removed. Please find legitimate, reliable sources before again attempting to add drivers to the article. The359 (Talk) 20:04, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sutil/Liuzzi[edit]

It doesn't matter who would "surely be" the first driver. It's an out-dated concept, really; most teams prefer to split their attentions equally between their drivers until one is no longer in the title hunt or an outside possibility while the other is a genuine contender. But more to the point, Wikipedia deals in fact - not speculation. All we know about Force India is that they have signed Sutil and Liuzzi. I agree that it is highly likely Sutil will be the lead driver, but that is in the realm of speculation and opinion. Not fact, which is the only acceptable currency here. Until we know for certain who is who - and the entry list showing number allocations (not necessairily driver line-ups) is expected withing 48 hours - we are listing all drivers within the table alphabetically. "Liuzzi" comes before "Sutil", just as "Alonso comes before "Massa". So please leave the table as it is. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 11:02, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Better late than never! I noticed you're getting a bit of flak for your editing. Please take time to read the pages linked from the welcome notice, and also the talk page of 2010 Formula One Season. WP:F1 seems quite set in how they do things, and it's probably best to fall in with them. WP:CRYSTAL is relevant here, and a read of that would probably be of benifit. Mjroots (talk) 11:22, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not news[edit]

A word of advice, it appears you are suffering from a basic misunderstanding about what Wikipedia is for. Wikipedia is not a news service. There is no race to get the news onto the web first at Wikipedia because it is far more important to get the information correct, which is why there is no speculation allowed. It is about official announcements, releases from the FIA, from the teams, not gossip. It is not about what you know, or what you think you know, but what can be absolutely proven from a reputable source. There are plenty of other places on the internet where you can write a list of your favourite drivers driving in what you would like Formula One to be. --Falcadore (talk) 19:51, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2010 numbers[edit]

It doesn't matter if you're Petrov's and Kovalainen's manager and know where he is going: if you can't back up your information with news articles confirming it, you can't post that information. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 21:11, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Sauber are considering Petrov, which seems to disprove the Campos theory. So you can claim to be a friend all you want, but rumour and hearsay are not tolerated. If you keep editing thi sort ofthing in, you may get warnings for vandalism because you are knowingly posting misleading information. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 23:36, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Thruxton_Karting_Cicuit.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Thruxton_Karting_Cicuit.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:25, 15 February 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 13:25, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Thruxton_Karting_Full_Circuit.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Thruxton_Karting_Full_Circuit.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:01, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Chris sim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. --Non-Dropframe talk 20:10, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of 2015 Rally Poland[edit]

The article 2015 Rally Poland has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for October 24[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2015 Rally de España, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jonas Andersson. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
