June 2007[edit]

Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with the page Trinity College, Perth on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. The relationship of the two schools is already noted within the article. There is no need to provide any information about their sister school and it's details within the article, just link them as already occurs. As for the founder of Christian Brothers, I have no idea where that comes into the issue, so i'll answer it on a WP:V basis. If the information is incorrect, and you are able to provide appropriate WP:RS for that, update it accordingly. Hope this helps. Thewinchester (talk) 00:14, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ok, as per the welcome message from my learned friend SatuSuro, please sign your talk page posts using four tildes (refer to his welcome message above for information on this). As for the content, it is more appropriate for the Mercedes article, so add it in there. There's a lot of issues to be had editing school articles in Perth after a very long history of issues, which coincidently has become known as Aquinascruft. I'd suggest reading that essay, and don't be surprised if other established editors from the Western Australian WikiProject come along to give you some help and guidance (As most school articles, private schools in particular are on their watchlists). Cheers, Thewinchester (talk) 00:59, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • No problem at all. Aquinascruft is a whole group of editorial and policy issues which are documented here that include amongst others copyright and conflict of interest. In terms of copyright, some of the more recent examples including lifting copyrighted images out of the SLWA online catalogue (Known as Henrietta if you ever see that name used) which are clearly copyrighted and must be licensed for use by SLWA. As for neutrality, it depends entirely how you look at it. As noted in the Aquinascruft essay, a large number of editors falling under this time "have the passion for a particular school, generally one they are either a current or recent student of". Now that passion is fine, as long as it's turned into constructive editing which you've obviously been trying to do (and we're happy to help you with). However, there is always some of their number who use the passion for evil and not good, making lives of local WikiElves sheer hell for days and weeks on end because they are the ones who end up cleaning up the mess after they have struck. Hope that helps. Thewinchester (talk) 01:30, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fruit[edit]

Please stop partially erasing the image on Fruit. The purpose of the diagram is to illustrate that the scientific category of fruit and culinary category of vegetable overlap. It does so, so please cease disrupting the page. WLU 08:31, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
