Democratic debate (official vs unofficial)[edit]

While it is logical to assume that they will be there, since it hasn't happened yet they can't be marked as an "official" participant per WP:CRYSTAL. By convention, and policy we cannot predict the future. Anything can happen between now and the debate. Emergencies happen, and someone could not attend for any number of reasons. For that reason, we don't change them to official participants until after the event starts and it is confirmed that they are actually there. --Stabila711 (talk) 03:19, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a great point, but it is extremely unlikely that any of this is going to change. As of now, these people are officially going to attend the debate, as CNN has released the podium order. WP:CRYSTAL mentions how there can be edits made when something is almost certainly going to happen. Branedc14 (talk) 03:25, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Branedc14[reply]
