Copyright problems with Image:Rkennedy.jpg[edit]

An image that you uploaded, Image:Rkennedy.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Cheers, CP 01:20, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am an administrator addressing matters listed for more than 7 days at the copyright problems board. Given your username, it seems quite possible that you are Mr. Kennedy's daughter and that your assertion that you created the image is accurate. However, since Wikipedia does not require identity verification on account creation, I'm afraid that we must have external verification of permission to use this image, as it has been published elsewhere on a page that bears a copyright notice, here. Since no verification has been provided in the seven days since the image was tagged, it will need to be deleted. At any point that you choose to verify permission, it may be restored. Please see WP:IOWN for steps on how to verify this. The situation may be a little more complicated than usual, as the source that published the image did not credit you as the creator, which may add some challenges to verify permission. If you have questions about how best to proceed, please address them to the "media copyright questions" board, where volunteers who are experience in image copyright matters may be able to advise you. I apologize for the difficulties inherent in verification. Obviously, these steps are necessary to protect not only the encyclopedia, but also the copyright owners of material, like you. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:57, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
