football teams
Hi Bren I noticed your articles on Australia based gridiron teams. Unfortunately, other than teams competeing at Olympic level or in fully professional leagues, sports teams are not automatically eligible for inclusion.
If you can provide multiple independent references with non-trivial mention of the teams then you have met the criteria for inclusion for "minor" sporting organisations. This is pretty much a shoe-in for Olympic and professional teams, hence they get a bit of a free run at having stubs created on the assumption that somebody has mentioned them in the press / published something about them in some other form.
I have "prodded" these articles for automatic deletion. You can remove the prod template, but if you do, please improve the article as I have discussed above. Garrie 05:57, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
City Rail deletion proposals
Hi, I saw the recent deletion proposals you made to DIM8020 and DET9216 I would recommend these simply be nominated for deletion. I don't think there is a strong reason to keep it proposed. Oh by all means get rid of it. I only started it because a while ago, information about the club kept on popping up on the wikipedia entry no matter how many times I deleted it. - If you are referring to your edit [1] then no, I'm not looking for only the "good" people. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and we want encyclopedic, verifiable content in articles. Re: Merit (band)
It doesn't look as though it will pass the AfD, unfortunately. I'm sorry I put the wheels in motion. Do you have any additional references that would be helpful in re-creating the article if it doesn't pass? Not immediately, you know, but soon. Do they have anything planned coming up (a new record or tour)? And I found a number of mentions online referring to a quote from the Village Voice but couldn't find the original; do you have any idea where that came from (issue date, was it a gig review, CD, or what)? - Hey mate no hard feelings. I generally don't get into band articles here because I know what kind of issues they cause. Seems like this one could go either way, and if it does get though, I do understand that it's just scraping in. The band does have some great reviews from publishers on their site, however I can't find them when doing online searches to cite.
- I'd love to keep the article here but as it hasn't received a lot of contribs from others I guess I'm on my own. Anyway, the band does have a good following on myspace and reverbnation so they are getting their music out on other channels.
- Btw can you review another band for me; Render (band). I put this up but a while ago, but now that I'm into Wiki more and understand the inclusion policies better I think it should go. Satisy the deletionist in us all ;) --Breno talk 06:31, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Kyabram & District Football League and clubs
I have removed the PROD tag from the league and club articles as I think deleting the articles is not likely to be uncontroversial. I can understand why you have tagged them but I think they should be taken to WP:AfD for community discussion. Daxflame
Hi, I saw your name on the deletion page for daxflame. I was wondering if you could perhaps explain me how this deletion process works? So far I guess it's two keeps (including my own) against six or seven speedy deletion. The wiki page on deletion says the process is based on consensus, but i'm not really sure how that's going to work in this case. So I wonder how this is going to work, could you explain perhaps? I don't really know who to ask this.

You're doing great work with the nominations for proposed deletion--but it would help us overworked admins who eventually have to decide on whether to actually delete the articles if the reason in the deletion notice were made just a little more informative, because we usually prefer to work with articles about subjects we know a little about, to avoid making embarrassing mistakes. Could you say, for example, "non notable minor league baseball player," instead of just "this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability for inclusion."
