In August of 2013, Brett Kissel was awarded his first ever 'cover story' in the national magazine: Canadian Cowboy Country. ≤http://www.brettkissel.com/359/≥ Brett Kissel, The Fresh Face of Country Music, was on news stands across the nation. The cover story written by long time country music writer Bill Borgwardt, was Kissel’s first ever front page story for any magazine – ever. Canadian Cowboy Country Magazine, Canada’s premiere western lifestyle publication has been featuring country and western artists, singers, poets, and rodeo cowboys for years, and has enjoyed being read in countless households across Canada and around the world. ≤http://www.cowboycountrymagazine.com≥

Bill Borgwardt, ≤http://www.abcountrymusic.ca/artist.aspx?x=9c0e54bb-c5da-483e-8fb3-a378bf0943c5≥ who has been contributing to Canadian Cowboy Country Magazine for the past year commented, “I’ve known Brett since he started his career at the age of eleven. I knew there was something special about him then, and now the rest of the country can see and read all about it now. He’s been on an incredible journey.”
