Orphaned non-free media (File:Projektlogo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Projektlogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:16, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Invitation to Meetup/Seattle6, a focus group

Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington (Seattle campus), and my group is reaching out to Wikipedians in the Puget Sound area. We're hosting a focus group designed to gather information on what Wikipedians would like to know about each other when interacting on Wikipedia. Our end goal is to create an embedded application that helps people quickly know more about others' history and activity on Wikipedia, and we feel our design will be much more useful if it's based on insights of users like you.

I'm hoping that the chance to help out local researchers, to engage in lively face-to-face discussion with other Seattle Wikipedians, and to contribute to Wikipedia in a new way will entice you to join us. The session lasts 2 hours and snacks are provided. Sessions will be held on UW Seattle campus - directions will be sent after registration. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated!

Willing and able to help us out? RSVP here. Want to know more? Visit our user talk page . Please help us contact other local Wikipedians, too! Commprac01 (talk) 21:23, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I am in the middle of a full copy edit of this one, so please hold off making any edits until I am finished, to avoid edit conflicts. Thanks. – ukexpat (talk) 19:11, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I dropped an apology on the article talk page earlier today. -- Brianhe (talk) 01:03, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Hi Brianhe. Thanks for your edits (Jacob Aaron Westervelt). There is one thing that I will revert (sorry). There are naming conventions for ships. Ship names always include a code, and if it is a historical ship the year of lounch (e.g. West Point (1847) or SS America (1940). Thats why the years belong within and not outside the quotes. With kind regards --Rectilinium'♥' 01:42, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
PS the year is just missing where the lounching year isnt known or when the name of the ship is repeated within the article. --Rectilinium'♥' 01:53, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
I have to disagree with you on this. Check out examples in item #6 on this list: Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/DANFS conversions -- I think it's in the MOS somewhere too. -- Brianhe (talk) 02:00, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
There was a long discussion about this subject on Wikipedia talk: WikiProject Ships:
[[1]] This links to the decission. You will find the whole discussion right above the decission (concerning naming conventions) --Rectilinium'♥' 02:07, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Well there is a conflict with the MOS as currently written. See WP:SHIPNAME#Referring to ships: "Put the ship's name in italics, but not the prefix or hull number: USS Nimitz (not "USS Nimitz" or "USS Nimitz"). -- Brianhe (talk) 02:08, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Ok, then lets revert my revert and just put the name in italics. Regards --Rectilinium'♥' 02:14, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
It seems Gatoclass already made it... --Rectilinium'♥' 02:24, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Mustang Seats page

Hi, just saw your note from 3 months ago regarding speedy delete of the article Mustang Seats. I think this page on their website [2] illustrates "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". Do you agree, and if so how could I petition for the page after the fact? Qermaq (talk) 22:03, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

The way to resurrect the article would be to rewrite it with citations. I took a quick look at the articles that Mustang references and in my not-so-humble opinion they all look like unremarkable product reviews, I'm not sure they would pass the notability requirements still. One great place to bring this up for discussion would be the Motorcycling WikiProject where there are many active editors with interests in motorcycling-related topics. I recommend starting a new topic on the project discussion page. -- Brianhe (talk) 02:17, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Disagreement

Hi Brianhe, I appologize for my rudeness in my previous message on your talk page. I disagree with your recent removal of my edit on website. If it's ok with you I would like to have my edit reinstated and open the item up for community discussion on the talk page. I don't want to undo your edit but if you would prefer I start up the discussion I can do that but I would be more comforatable if you removed your own edit pending a discussion.

Thank you very much, Morganeason (talk) 17:42, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

(Previous negative comments posted by me have been removed)

ATG Stores

Hi Brianhe, I've added some new articles I'd like to get your feedback on to see if you think it adds to the notability. Thanks! -- Morganeason (talk) 21:37, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

AIV vandal

I just gave the below user a final warning. If he vandalizes again, re-report him to AIV. He has not violated the rules yet, since he has not vandalized after the final warning.

Please be sure to watch out for his edits! ceranthor 18:00, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
