Hi, Brian! I hate to say this, but Wikipedia officially discourages people from working on their own biography. The problem is that unbiased autobiographies are very difficult to write. We welcome your help and input, especially when it comes to fixing inaccuracies, but major additions to the article should probably be discussed on the talk page first, so that it avoids any appearance of a conflict of interest. Unofficially, I'd like to thank you for filling out the article, and I hope that you'll enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We have very few actual rules here, but there are many guidelines and "best practices" that can seem counter-intuitive at first. If you're interested, we've got a tutorial and help pages. - Thanks, and I realized that but wasn't sure how best to convey the information to you. I think I added things that are simply factual and unbiased, but I'll avoid editing the page in future unless it's been obviously vandalized. I wasn't going to touch any of the film entries either. - Personally, I think your contributions were helpful, but there's been a wave of zero tolerance spreading through Wikipedia. I'm sure you've heard about the recent controversies; dozens or possibly even hundreds of corporate shills have infiltrated Wikipedia and rewritten articles, like some kind of Orwellian nightmare. Understandably, people are getting worried about whether they can trust Wikipedia. The best course of action is probably to propose changes to the associated talk page, but, strictly speaking, there's no outright rule that forbids you from editing the article yourself. There have been discussions on policies that would disallow such edits, but they have no yet gained enough support.
- I don't see any reason why you couldn't add works to your biography, but that too might be best approached with caution, given the current atmosphere. If you find any sources, like old issues Fangoria or interviews, please feel free to point them out! Again, it might be best to do so on the talk page. I could also use some help on plot summaries. It's embarrassing to admit, but I've not yet seen any of the films. I did enjoy Improbabilia, though. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 22:26, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- haha, thanks, although nothing pre-2003 is really worth even glancing at, they're awful. There are a bunch of pretty accurate and well-sourced articles about the zombie pictures which I can link to, I'll figure out how to contribute to the talk page, just for info on the films. Lots of old print interviews, but none of them exist online. There isn't really anything that would need to be added to the Brian Clement page right now though. And to be honest, I actually hadn't heard about corporate rewriting of articles, although it's unsurprising.Brianfhclement (talk) 23:16, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
