Disambiguation link notification for September 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited George Takei, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TBS. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Rollbacker[edit]

I have granted rollback rights to your account. After a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, contact me and I will remove it. Good luck and thanks. 18:03, 26 January 2015 (UTC)– Gilliam (talk)

Thank you. I was not aware of this feature but now that I've been granted the right to utilize it, rest sssured I will exercise discretion and use it only for its intended purpose.--BrightonC (talk) 00:38, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

May 2015[edit]

Hello, I'm Ncmvocalist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Cell division, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Ncmvocalist (talk) 17:29, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I intended only to remove a random (and unsourced) statement added by an IP user who was seemingly test-editing. If my edit did anything other than that, it was accidental.--BrightonC (talk) 17:33, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Major edit/Under Construction Template[edit]

Hello! I was just doing a major edit on the United States presidential election, 2016 article. I put up a "major edit" template at the top of the article to warn other editors to wait to make their edits so that I could finish mine. That was we could avoid an edit conflict... I can't tell you how much work could have been lost had there been a conflict. I did see that you made an edit while I was making mine. Because they were in different sections, there was no conflict. It's really not a big deal at all and I'm not upset or anything but I would ask that you look for those templates before making changes. Thank you! PrairieKid (talk) 00:35, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the lateness in responding, but I didn't see the message when it posted, as I logged out immediately after making the aforementioned edit. I did see the template, but I figured that since my edit did not alter the content in any way, it wouldn't be a big deal. I have to admit I didn't think about the potential consequences of an edit conflict. I will now take that into account for future reference, so thanks for the message. If you don't mind a suggestion, it is probably best to copy the content or post it in your sandbox first before adding a considerable amount of content to any article. That way, you insure yourself against lost content resulting from an edit conflict or technical foul-up. Cheers!--BrightonC (talk) 17:57, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
