UCB Theatre[edit]

First you say: "i encourage you to take a moment in the future before undoing new contributors edits."

Then you suddenly you not only know how to communicate on talk pages (which few new members understand) you then cite some deep Wiki references within a few hours of being a new member.

"Please see WP:GAME, WP:DIS (specifically hostile cite tagging section), WP:OWN, and WP:BITE for further consideration."

BronsonPunchout, I do not believe you are a new user but rather are a newly created account being used by someone with deeper Wikipedia knowledge than they let on and are attempting to "game" the UCB article so it somehow can contain claims that are simply trivia and have no citations. Dozens if not hundreds of articles Wikipedia have citation tags and requests for citations. The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is no different. I know these citations can exist for the items I placed inline citations for. As for "bits" that section is pure trivia and not encyclopedic.

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is large and well covered. Citations can and should be made especially for larger claims that borderline on slander without such citations. As for your claim of being a "new contributor" I encourage you to be transparent and not play games with articles you might have a conflict of interest with. --SpyMagician (talk) 21:56, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I hate to break it to you, but i found all those by looking at the links you posted and reading further. Perhaps it took you or others a long time to find this "deeper" Wikipedia knowledge such as a talk page, but it was pretty clear to me. I am not a "new user" per se. I frequently read wikipedia and have occasionally made edits on some things where i had knowledge, but i purposely set up an account to adhere to the policies of Wikipedia and encourage this kind of discussion. I can make the same claims about you and your conflicts of interest, and i suspect you in fact may be Chris Griwsold yourself. Nonetheless, you have a clear feeling of ownership over this article, which is perhaps one of the reasons it has not grown very much over the years. If you know citations exist i encourage you to track them down, instead of just removing sections you did not provide. Its easier to criticize than to be correct. I will not be cowtowing to you any longer. I encourage you again to actually look at the edits you are making. You have had to apologize to myself and others several times now for making revisions you did not even bother to look at, including removing citations. "Nonetheless, you have a clear feeling of ownership over this article, which is perhaps one of the reasons it has not grown very much over the years."
Utter abusive nonsense. Outside of a handful of edits I claim no "ownership" on any articles. I have no connection to UCB at large and don't really care to do deep edits. I do correct what I know and when I notice odd edits, I jump on them. If you would refer to the history of edits to the UCB Theater page you can clearly see my supposed "history of oppression" [1] in which outside of edits I made on September 4th and September 6th I did make one other edit this year on June 26th where I removed a reference to UCB NYC being located under a supermarket. Past that I made a correction to a broken link on August 23rd 2007 over a year ago. Please do not accuse me of "ownership" when all I have done is ask for citations and removed trivia.
"I frequently read wikipedia and have occasionally made edits on some things where i had knowledge, but i purposely set up an account to adhere to the policies of Wikipedia and encourage this kind of discussion."
One second you're a new contributor, the next you have knowledge of Wikipedia. Look, I've said it before and I will say it again: You are clearly connected to the UCB theater and are lashing out at others in an attempt to let uncited claims stand in a desire to self-promote. If you're upset that I removed the whole "Bits" section, I encourage you to make your case to an admin. Please also make the outrageous claims of "ownership" as well and stop harassing other users who are doing "crazy" things like asking for citations or asking that trivia be removed. --SpyMagician (talk) 22:36, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I finally registered with a user account after many years. I never claimed to be a brand new contributor, but i am making first in earnest attempts to improve wikipedia. You are making outrageous claims that i am a puppet account. You are undoing contributions without even looking at them, and you are claiming ownership of a page. You have had to apologize the past few days to myself and others for making edits without even looking at them. This has nothing to do with the BITS section. You removed it, i did not undo that edit. It is still removed. I said perhaps we can discuss it on the talk page. Nonetheless, read things before you undo them. Try at least leaving a citation needed tag up for a little while before immediately removing a section. Propose deletion of a section and leave it to a vote, but either way, you are making large removals and edits without consideration on the community. BronsonPunchout (talk) 22:41, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"I never claimed to be a brand new contributor" is a lie. You clearly state on my talk page: "i encourage you to take a moment in the future before undoing new contributors edits" immediately after I touched one of your edits. [2]
"you are claiming ownership of a page" How? By placing citations and edits to content to make it fit within Wikipedia? Again, refer to the history of the UCB Theater page [3] . I am not claiming anything and never have.
"Propose deletion of a section and leave it to a vote, but either way, you are making large removals and edits without consideration on the community." I have removed wholesale three very questionable things. First, the "bits" section which is trivia. Then the "Solo Arts" header which was simply a header with NO text and nothing to cite. Ditto with the "Del Close Marathon" header: You've got to be kidding me that nobody could write at least one sentence about an event that has been going on for 10 years.
"You are making outrageous claims that i am a puppet account." I am making the claim that BronsonPunchout and 68.175.98.195 are sock puppets of each other because these two accounts have been logged doing edits to (1) the same exact article (2) within minutes or seconds of each other.
Here is what I will propose. If you think I have done horrible things, report me to admins or on the administrator notice board. They have the IP address logs and they have the deeper knowledge. Let them judge otherwise you are clearly crossing into the realm of user harassment. --SpyMagician (talk) 22:54, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
whereas i feel you are crossing into the realms of harassment, as i pointed out. You can contact the admins as well, but i will likely contact them once i figure out how to. Also, i encourage you to look at the "section stub" tag, which would encourage contributions to an empty or poorly filled out section, as opposed to taking it upon yourself to remove it BronsonPunchout (talk) 22:58, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Contribute positively to the article and provide citations and please stop harassing me and others as they try to make the article better. I don't have time for this kind of petty theater/actor ego nonsense. I'm simply editing an article and adding/deleting based on Wiki standards. Harass and stalk me and you will hang yourself by your own noose. --SpyMagician (talk) 03:04, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Now you're making threats. You are not editing by Wiki standards, as i have pointed out. You are engaging in disruptive editing and gaming, among other things. I have not harassed or stalked you. Please point out how i have. And don't threaten me. I have tried to discuss this with you intelligently, but i see that is impossible. BronsonPunchout (talk) 03:11, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All of your posts here are evidence of stalking and harassment. I have also edited numerous articles without anyone making one comment let alone some "new user" who suddenly comes out of nowhere and quotes Wiki policy like an old pro. The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is one of many articles I have tagged to "watch" but it is literally the only article that causes me this much grief when doing some very basic Wiki things. Same holds true for other Wiki improv/theatre articles. A larger force of people are needed to make sure these pieces are not above basic wiki rules. I'm ending this discussion now. If you have any issues, please alert an admin. Any future notes from you will be ignored. --SpyMagician (talk) 04:17, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Upon further consideration, i have decided you are a douchebag and i am being dragged down to your level of pettiness and patheticness. I have spent a day trying to improv a single article and it is not worth the trouble of dealing with losers like you. I don't want to be like you, letting a minor degree of wiki power go to my head. I wish you luck, you clearly need it. I strongly encourage you to get a life you bitter, sad, loser. You win, this pyrrhic victory. Now leave me the fuck alone.
