Regarding this comment[edit]

For starters, the only diatribes in this situation were posted by an IP address and have been collapsed, struck out or removed. Your implication that Jed was subject to any diatribe is false, and may be construed as a personal attack which could result in sanctions against you. One of the principles of Wikipedia is that we always assume good faith on the part of our fellow editors. This is not a threat, simply a friendly bit of advice. Because Wikipedia is built on consensus, it can be extremely harmful to one's ability to contribute to consistently use disparaging language when referring to others.

Regarding the issue of the POV of the article, Wikipedia has strict, explicit rules regarding how we write about fringe theories, which this subject absolutely qualifies as. The problem is that Jed Stuart has had it explained to him multiple times that we cannot violate WP policy simple because he interprets one source as taking a less skeptical stance than Wikipedia is required to take. Whether or not that source actually does so is, itself, a matter of some contention. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the links I have provided above. Below this message is a templated message which it is normal to deliver to new users when they begin editing in certain areas. Please also read it carefully, including the disclaimer at the beginning. Also, welcome to Wikipedia! We all hope you have a good time editing here, and become a productive and helpful editor!

Formal mediation has been requested[edit]

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Electronic Harassment NPOV". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 23 September 2016.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.
