June 2008[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Jehochman Talk 22:58, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if you thought that what I posted was spam or anything like that. It seriously wasn't my intention - just tried to add some content.

I think everyone is concerned that everything you're adding is sourced from internetevolution, a site that probably doesn't meet WP:RS. Further, another editor has also been spamming links for the same website, which has a number of others concerned that this might be a more serious spamming problem. --Ronz (talk) 20:45, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation; links for internetevolution.com[edit]

Apparent copyright violation removed. --CliffC (talk) 20:33, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --CliffC (talk) 20:33, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why would this be a copyright violation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bruce404 (talkcontribs)
Your edit here added text that appears on the Internet here. Please see WP:Copyrights for Wikipedia copyright policy. --CliffC (talk) 04:08, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, thanks for the link to the copyright policy. I rewrote it and add it again, hopefully now it's in compliance with it. There are some words that simply can't be rewritten. Thanks again.

I've removed it as an unreliable source and continued spamming. --Ronz (talk) 16:38, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The issue of continued edits that appear to be promotional has been raised at: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spam#http://sss.InternetEvolution.com. Your participation in the conversation is welcomed. -- SiobhanHansa 01:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well potentially being penalized by search engines. -- SiobhanHansa 23:51, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
