RfA thanks[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA discussion! I appreciate you contributing your voice to the debate and its outcome. I hope how I wield the mop makes you proud. Thanks!

64.26.147.175[edit]

Just an FYI, I noticed you blocked 64.26.147.175 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) on November 4th for 48 hours. The IP came back and made a mess of a huge number of articles, starting off with an insert of your name [1]. I reverted everything. I'm not familiar with the ArbCom case, but thought you would like to know. -- Gogo Dodo 00:37, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks[edit]

Hi Bucketsofg, and thanks for your participation at the recent RfA, which did not succeed. For those of you who expressed their support, your kind words and your trust are sincerely appreciated. For those who were opposed --especially those who offered their constructive criticism-- please accept this message as assurance that equally sincere efforts, aimed at enhancing the quality and accuracy of representations within the Wikipedia, will continue. Striving for improved collaboration and consensus will also continue, with all of your insights in mind, while applying NPOV ideals as fairly and reasonably as possible. List of strange units of measurement[edit]

Hi. Can you explain that reversion please? --Guinnog 02:14, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I did notice that, right after sending my message. Thanks for reverting. --Guinnog 02:18, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had just fully protected the page when I saw you deny the request. I personally think it should just be protected for the time being as he is just using his user talk page to attract unneeded attention. It's only further escalating problems. Nishkid64 03:07, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the time I get on tomorrow, he'll already be unblocked for more than 10 hours. I guess I'll leave it as it is right now. Thanks for the quick reply, though. Nishkid64 03:12, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for Protecting the Article[edit]

I used to be a main contributor to the List of Pre-Made Sims Characters and i was sick and tired of reverting uneccesary edits and reverting Vandalism. Now that you banned Vandalisers people can finally read that article without any uneccesary infromation.

RfA thanks[edit]

Hi Bucketsofg, I am very thankful to you for supporting and comments on my succesful RfA. Shyam (T/C) 06:57, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the extra feathers on my wings!

Thank you so much, Bucketsofg, for your support in my RfA, which passed on November 11, 2006, with a final tally of 82/0/2. I am humbled by the kind support of so many fellow Wikipedians, and I vow to continue to work and improve with the help of these new tools. Should you have any request, do not hesitate to contact me. RfA thanks[edit]

Hi Bucketsofg, and thanks very much for your support during my recent RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of 64/0/0. I am grateful for the overwhelming support I received from the community, and hope I will continue to earn your trust as I expand my participation on Wikipedia. It goes without saying that if you ever need anything and I can help, please let me know. Wait, I guess it does go with saying. ; ) --cholmes75 (chit chat) 22:07, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dalbury's RfA[edit]

My RfA passed with a tally of 71/1/0. Thank you very much for your support. I hope that my performance as an admin will not disappoint you. Please let me know if you see me doing anything inappropriate. -- Donald Albury 03:47, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vile Username[edit]

Although I myself did nothing really offensive posting the username in the edit summary when reporting, I just want to apologize anyway for failing to censor the "n-word." That is my #1 hated word of all time . . . even if it wasn't vulgar or obscene, I'd still hate it for the sound... -WarthogDemon 22:19, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pidgeon Park[edit]

Hey mate, any clues to why my Pidgeon Park entry was deleted? Thanks Will bcfc 11:43, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This case is now closed and the results have been published at the link above.

Per Wikipedia:External links#Links normally to be avoided, articles should not link to copies of press reports archived on any site in violation of copyright. Per Wikipedia:Citing sources#Intermediate sources: State where you got it, citations should state the original source (i.e. the LA Times) and the intermediate source (i.e. "as retrieved from LexisNexis on October 16, 2006"). Articles which relate to Rachel Marsden, may, when they violate Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, be reduced to a stub by any user or deleted, together with their talk pages, by any administrator. re:the message you posted on my page[edit]

I wasn't trying to vandalise, I was reverting the spam of the person before using popups however someone had done it before me and what happened was popups reverted the person that fixed it back into the previous spam.Miltonkeynes 23:55, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Buckets of thanks[edit]

I wasn't going to send thank-you cards, but the emotional impact of hitting WP:100 (and doing so unanimously!) changed my mind. So I appreciate your confidence in me at RFA (and cleverly hitting the 100th mark), and hope you'll let me know if I can do anything for you in the future. Cheers! -- nae'blis 00:09, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Thank you for your support with my RfA. My nomination succeeded and I have joined the admin ranks. I appreciate your support. Thanks again! =) -- Gogo Dodo 22:32, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

David Ruben RfA[edit]

Bucketsofg/Archive 6, thank you for your support in my RfA which passed on 13th December 2006 with a tally of 49/10/5. I am delighted by the result and a little daunted by the scope of the additional tools; I shall be cautious in my use of them. Not entirely sure that my profession automatically guarantees I can do no harm in all spheres of activity - whilst watering a plant the other day, I spilt water over the adjacent answephone - it suddenly went very asystolic and a new one required - but thanks for the vote of trust ! I am well aware that becoming an Admin is not just about a successful nomination, but a continuing process of gaining further experience; for this I shall welcome your feedback. Again, many thanks for supporting my RfA, feel free to contact me if you need any assistance. :-) David Ruben 02:08, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about disruptive activity?[edit]

When Ian engages on disruptive activity on the talkpages of articles while he is on probation, he is violating the terms of this probation. I am simply calling a spade a spade. --ScienceApologist 17:32, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've already shown that Ian's behavior is disruptive. Currently there are no admins with enough backbone to even talk to him about it. When someone postures as Ian was doing on the talkpage, said person is acting like a peacock. I think SPADE covers that. However, I will not call him a peacock anymore if that will satisfy. --ScienceApologist 17:45, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Understood, no simile/metaphor. From now on I will not engage in levity lest it be mistaken for incivility. --ScienceApologist 18:46, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bucketsofg, I don't know about my being an AfD expert, but I believe I've fixed the AfD notice on the Rachel Marsden article. The link now takes you to the current (third) nomination. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with. Best as always, Gwernol 23:17, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hi[edit]

hi, can I edit you're userpage 24.57.137.218 16:34, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd rather you didn't, unless it's something minor. Bucketsofg 16:38, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Injust protection and blocks[edit]

Dear Bucketsofg, as I can see, you just bacame a victim of smart wording of Jayjg, FeloniousMonk and others involved in History of the Jews in Ukraine and Ukrainian-German collaboration during World War II. They even convinced to make a change to already protected page as they think it is "more neutral" version. Too bad you believed them and did it as it is against WP policy to change protected pages. For your information, we just cought one of the fellows having 7 accounts and being involved in the revert war: User talk:Yarillastremenog. Please be more carefull about your decisions in the future and reconcider your policy towards Yakudza, Hillock65 and A4. At least check revert logs carefully and see who is actually working on article here and who is reverting without discussions. Thank you.--Bryndza 20:55, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the answer. This is exactly what I wanted - to ask you to make up your own mind. Because I also can write my own story with links etc. But I just want to ask you to take a bit of time to study the case on your own. Will you please? Or writing explanations would help? And what about that edit after protection? Is it legal? What if I'm not comfortable with the locked version? Would you return the previously locked? The best solution would be unlock and let us figure out ourselves. --Bryndza 22:13, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ukrainian-German collaboration during World War II[edit]

Hi! I'm willing You to help me a bit. I'm studying literature, referenced for that article. And I think some disambiguations exists with them. Please, read the talks page. I'll be thankful. --Galkovsky 02:42, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for blocking this article. Truly.--Bryndza 16:43, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Crap[edit]

Sorry about that, I've posted on ANI with a semi explanation and posted on the talk pages. Yanksox 06:01, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ukrainian-German collaboration during World War II[edit]

Hi Bucketsofg,

Could you please remove the {{fact}} template from the first sentence of the second paragraph of this article. That fact is cited in the next footnote, which mentions the paper by Yehuda Bauer.--Carabinieri 18:48, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With regards to the Hillock65 RFCU case, the last comment that you left on the page seemed to indicate that you think that Hillock65 and Galkovsky are perhaps not the same user. Does this mean that you are withdrawing the request? Please reply on the RFCU case page. DarthVader (Checkuser Clerk) 09:34, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
