My addition to Jewell had nothing to do with the spelling of the name Jewell. The addition was actually a reference to the gemstone, and not about any names. Disambiguation pages exist in order to point people in the direction of the article they were originally looking for. It is entirely plausable that jewell could be a mis-spelling of jewel, especially to somebody who does not speak English as their native language. Because of this, both my and your addition to Jewell are valid.

Lew Pollack

Oops, I did, didn't I? I've been running through all the songwriter/composer/lyricist cats and must have added this by mistake. Some people are separated into composers and lyricists for the same song, some have 2 cats because they contributed lyrics to some songs and music to a bunch of other songs. A couple have three cats. Very confusing, especially when the article is silent on who contributed what. In the case of Lew there's only 4 articles for songs he has written, do I move/create a category "Songs written by Lew Pollack" or do I create a second cat for "Songs with music by Lew Pollack"? I don't know, but feel it would be overcategorization. In the meanwhile, please feel free to move the song out of the cat - it is patently wrong at the moment. Thanks for further note. I agree with you that there were "composers" and "lyricists" in the time of Pollack, in fact modern songwriting contracts still refer to both parts of a song separately. Curiously, Category:Songs by composer was deleted a couple of years ago, only to be recreated a month later. However, I can't see any value in having a category with one song in it, which is what you are proposing. Also, if you separate songs like this you could finish up categorizing songs by lyricist, composer, and "we just don't know," together with this, separating the two cats would diminish, say, Lew Pollack's contribution in total. Obviously, when known, the song will clarify, and there is no reason why a short piece of text can't be inserted into the cat for clarificaton. WP:SONGCOVER says that cover versions should not be listed unless they have some form of notability. I have restored mention of the Hank Snow version, complete with a source, since Snow's rendition went to #1 on the country charts in 1954-55, but most of the others don't seem to be notable enough. If you can find sources proving that any other artist's rendition of that song charted, then that would be fine as long as the artist has an article. (Whitburn shows that Karen Kelly's version got to #75, but I can't find any info on her at all besides that, so I don't think she's notable or worth a mention.) Hello User:AccountsPayable. You should know that Wikipedia is not generally a place to ask questions (see WP:NOT), unless your questions are about Wikipedia or how to use it. It is an encyclopedia. FYI, accrued accounts payable liability accounts are generally used to record an expense which has been incurred but the invoice for such expense has not been received and recorded as a liability. Well, the question was asked with the intention of using the information to improve Wikipedia article(s). Although I guess it would be better to find a reliable source outside Wikipedia. Different companies do things differently, though, so a source that describes one type of procedure might not be giving information that's applicable to the majority of companies. That's true. Although then there can be diffusion of responsibility (or simply no one watching). So, first I looked in the revision history, but didn't see anyone who seemed to still be actively editing Wikipedia; and then I looked for transclusions of Template:User CPA, and you were the first user in the list who is still an active editor. Lucky you. I guess another possibility was that I could've posted to WikiProject Business, but business is a lot broader than accounting. Actually, I just didn't know enough about the topic to know what articles it might lead to me to edit if I learned more about it, and quite possibly I was going to end up editing the accrual article, which probably doesn't have a lot of watchers. Philippines

Wow, you've been a lot of places. Are you thinking about visiting the Philippines sometime? It's a beautiful country with an interesting culture, and the people are generally hospitable, friendly, and outgoing. I've been to Manila (briefly), Cagayan de Oro, and Jasaan. There are some nice resorts in Mindanao. The one I went to was Duka Bay, which has a beautiful view, but kind of a sucky restaurant (although if I recall correctly, the breakfast was okay, and they'll deliver to your room for a small extra charge, which is nice). There's a town you can get to by tricycle that has a few convenience stores and usually some food grilled outdoors that you can buy. Some of the reviews said the mosquitoes were terrible, but I didn't find them to be so bad. They might be localized to particular spots. Per yours at mine, and as I explained in the remarks of my original edit, I don't take issue with 1901 or 1904; rather, I edited the paragraph so that the year of 1901 claimed in the second sentence of the article agrees with the claim of 1901 stated immediately previous in the very first sentence of the article - a year which is likewise recorded in the infobox. Had the edited 1904 been part of an explanation of countervailing claims, I would've left it as is - but it wasn't - it was a declaration. Why is your identity so discreet? I would be pleased to discuss this with you further, but I do not know what your intent is.

My intent is just to discover if this is something new. And if it has been "blessed". I also am wondering if it may add confusion being that the {{dagger}} has been used for ages as a default footnote character? I won't even think of opening a probable kettle-of-fish by mentioning those who may take it as a christian-cross image and take some sort of offense. I looked at a handful of other bands with deceased members and didn't see it used… but I'm assuming we have different musical tastes. I was posting a link from Larry Monroe Forever Bridge to Laurie Freelove when I was shocked to discover that she had died. Having recently seen that dagger charachter on the Kingston Trio page, I thought it would be a nice gesture to add it next to her name. She is linked from the Larry Monroe mosaic because she was an Austin musician and has a tile on the memorial for Larry Monroe. Hello BuffaloBob. Understand. I'd not remove it as it seems like a clever idea. I'd even consider using the †, or some other character, myself for this very same deceased designation. What I wonder, as I'm no expert level Wiki editor, is if there is some place where this idea could be discussed and then codified as a legit Wiki Style. I was thinking of asking the originator of the idea (at least on the Kingston Trio page) about it – Edit shown here. But, there's a problem. This old-school Wiki editor seems to have "lost it" about a year ago and was blocked indefinitely. It's an interesting, but sad, read as to how it occurred. So, if this editor originated the idea, it may not be too well received. 🙄 If you happen to know the Wiki procedure to suggest style format additions, I'd be happy to support this. Hello again 72.234.220.38, after your comments here, I took it upon myself to put those daggers on a few musicians infoboxes, that was a BIG mistake. Unknown to me, at that time, there is not to be anything other than a name in an infobox, see the comments in the section below titled "deceased members". so, that puts a end to what we both thought was a good idea. Hello BuffaloBob. C'est la vie. I had this feeling that somewhere deep in recesses of Wikipedia's MOS this was probably a no-go. I now defiantly see the other side to this, as @SummerPhD^v2.0: alludes to, everyone dies - which would mean that eventually every band member, and every person in every infobox would have that † or some character next to their names. Deceased members

Yes, people die -- members of bands, cast members of TV shows, U.S. presidents, members of the first century Roman senate, signers of the Magna Carta.

Per the MOS and the descriptions of the individual infoboxes, we do not include who is dead (not "the late Julius Caesar" or Abraham Lindoln†) in infoboxes specifically and -- in general -- in individual articles unless the death is somehow relevant to the subject. So, an article about a battle might mention the deaths of notable individuals killed in that battle. An article about a novel, for example, likely would have no reason to mention the novelist is now dead (not "The Old Man and the Sea is a novel by Earnest Hemmingway (deceased).."). - SummerPhD^v2.0 21:00, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
