Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. High Kings

I'm not sure where that thing about Áed being "king of all Ireland" came from. I hope it wasn't me in a fit of absent-mindedness. In general I think the List of High Kings of Ireland follows Frank Byrne from Niall onwards. The template {{Kings of Ireland}} certainly does not; I tried to follow what Thomas Charles-Edwards says at various places in his discussion of the subject in Early Christian Ireland. Whether I succeeded is another matter. I've suggested splitting the list of kings into two; from the flood to Diarmait mac Cerbaill and from Niall to the Normans. The overlap is intentional. Early Irish Law and CIH (response)

Dear Buirechain. I agree that full CIH citations and a consistent format would be preferable. Ideally, of course, (if you don't mind me jumping ahead) it would be useful to have both a separate page listing the contents of the Corpus Iuris Hibernici and the pages for all the individual legal texts, in which the manuscript attestations are given. Needless to say, it would require an awful lot of tedious work, but I'm optimistic it'll come one day. Currently, I don't have Breatnach's Companion to CIH within reach, so I'm afraid I cannot give (or check for confirmation) all the CIH references required for the texts mentioned in the article (Early Irish Law). Though I've been keeping personal notes and have a copy of the concordance to CIH which was once available from the web (the one by David Stifter and Bart Jaski), I would still prefer to consult the Companion for verification.
