European Windstorm images[edit]

Would you please refrain from replacing European Windstorm images. I understand your desire to standardise the images, but you need to consider the limitations of visible satellite imagery when it comes to storms which often form during the short days of winter.Lacunae (talk) 10:16, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

All of the images were improvements over what was there before... many were too tightly cropped and didn't show the entire system, some even showed a different system entirely, or had coastlines missing, and they are supposed to show the storm at peak intensity, not necessarily where they were most damaging. In the process you have reverted a lot of constructive edits to the body of articles too that I'm now going to have to go back and fix. Buttons0603 (talk) 13:39, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Respectfully I disagree entirely, you are removing images which were selected to show certain features of the storm, replacing perfectly valid images with visual satellite ones which do not necessarily coincide with the peak development of the storms, or show the structures of the storms at all. Could I perhaps suggest you make a sandbox page with the images in question, and we seek to get some feedback from other editors, before you revert everything.Lacunae (talk) 16:24, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Buttons0603. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, 2004 Ingoldmells bus crash, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
