Next time check TV.com and EpGuides.com before claiming it's speculation.
Tv.com is a user-submitted source (of which I am a member), EpGuides pulls its data from TV.com. There are no verifiable sources to suggest these are the titles, see WP:V. "Stop editing what you know nothing about." -- I probably know more about The 4400 than you do. Matthew 13:58, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Addendum: The onus is on you to provide a reliable source when content is disputed. See WP:NOR. Matthew 14:00, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh really, so where do the titles come from then? byeee 13:59, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I imagine a TV.com editor pulled them from a 4400 fan blog which started speculating on the titles eons ago. There are no credible sources, such as USA Network press releases. Matthew 14:00, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And I presume USA Network announces the titles years in advance. As they did for 'The Dead Zone' every time they started a new season, right? byeee 14:04, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They usually begin releasing press releases a few weeks prior to airing episodes. Matthew 14:34, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copy and pasting[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move . Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Matthew 12:36, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I only did that because I would have kept the (The 4400 episode) page anyway. And there's not much on the page now, so not much need for attribution. » byeee 12:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Copy and pasting is not acceptable. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Matthew 12:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed them. Don't do it again, cheers. Matthew 12:46, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Groove Coverage - Hit Me.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Groove Coverage - Hit Me.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:13, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Groove_Coverage_-_God_Is_A_Girl.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Groove_Coverage_-_God_Is_A_Girl.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?pd_THOR | =/\= | 22:12, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IPA infoboxes[edit]

Hi Byeee - thanks for adding the infoboxes for voiced/voiceless alveolo-palatal affricate. Are you able to do voiced retroflex affricate and voiceless retroflex affricate as well? We have sound files for each (you can find the links at Wikipedia:IPA) but no infobox. Lfh (talk) 16:45, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Romanian[edit]

This edit summary] shows you to be confusing phonology with orthography. /g/ before front vowels is spelled <gh>, but it's still /g/, and segmentally <ghe> spells /ge/. The way you've worded it is confusing and it's a lot clearer if we just avoid using orthography to describe phonetic detail. — Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 22:25, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your wording makes it confusing for me as well, because it makes me think of g before /e/ and /i/, not of /g/. I can't make the comparison with /g/, but there is a difference between /ce/ and /ke/ for example. I can't think of a minimal pair right now. I was merely adding the clarification to say that it's only a palatal plosive when in 'ghe' or 'ghi'. » byeee 22:36, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My point was that it seems like you're thinking that "allophone of /g/ before /e/ and /i/" means that it's the way ‹g› is pronounced before ‹i› or ‹e›, which would be incorrect since ‹g› before front vowels is /d͡ʒ/. There are no minimal pairs between [ce] and [ke] in Romanian since that would make [c] into a separate phoneme, which it's not.
I don't get how you can be confused by the way I've worded it. It's actually a lot clearer.
Also, do you have a source that the velar nasal is an allophone before stop consonants? That doesn't sound right at all. — Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 22:43, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
/g/ makes me think of phonemical spelling, not of phonetics/IPA. And I thought that is what it was used for. If you have to, remove it altogether. Actually [ce] (che) and [ke] (ke) are pronounced differently. However, K is rather rare so distinction is possible even if there were an overlap.
I actually worded it that way also because it's the general rule. /g/ becomes [d͡ʒ] in ge/gi, and [ɟ] in ghe/ghi. Otherwise, it's a plain [g]. It seems natural to say under what circumstances it becomes the allophone. [d͡ʒ] is also an allophone of /g/ before /e/ and /i/, isn't it?
It's the same as in English. Why doesn't it sound right? Think of ping-pong. » byeee 22:59, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why would you think of spelling when IPA slashes are used. Those mark phonemic transcription. IPA is used so complicated spelling rules don't confuse the reader. I'm pretty sure [d͡ʒ] isn't an allophone of /g/. Otherwise, the <gh> spelling convention wouldn't be needed.
According to Romanian phonology, the velar nasal is an allophone of /n/ only before /k g h/. The velar nasal is its own phoneme in English. — Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 23:13, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
