and a personal note[edit]

It's always good to see another computer nerd type on here. I am amused by your list of interests and trying to figure out a connection between them (hacking, amphibians, war). Hmm. Unless by "amphibians" you mean hovercrafts, not frogs. tedder (talk) 04:38, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I meant frogs =) I know...I have a strange set of interests. --CABEGOD (talk) 05:45, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Andy Scheinman image[edit]

I would be happy to add the image to the article as long as it's not copyrighted. If you could let me know where it comes from or what the status of the ownership is, it shouldn't be a problem.Donmike10 (talk) 17:06, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Don, the image comes from the About Castle Rock Entertainment website. I don't know the status of the ownership. I'm a little new to posting images on wikipedia. --CABEGOD 23:59, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest, I don't think that wikipedia would let me use them if the rights belong to someone else but I'll look into it. They're pretty strict.Donmike10 (talk) 16:08, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I appreciate it =) - --CABEGOD 01:30, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya![edit]

Hey, CABE! Long time ... WAY long time! Worldwalker (talk) 00:54, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How are things going? I hear you came back to Nexus briefly? Things must be a lot different now that Kru owns the game... --CABEGOD 03:37, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Very briefly. There were some Carnage issues that needed to be sorted out, so I regged for a few months and did the sorting. That was over three years ago, and I haven't been back since. It wasn't the same. It hasn't really been Nexus since Kismet (and Mordechai) left. From what I hear, it's not anything you and I would recognize anymore. I won't be back; I'll keep it in my memory as it was.
By the way, if you hadn't heard, Hroth died last year. Just another reason not to go back. Too many memories there. Worldwalker (talk) 22:29, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah...Nexus truly died with all the greats that left.
I heard about Hroth...and I tried to contact his family with no luck. I posted a message in the online newspaper with his obituary. I remember standing outside the old jailhouse with Hroth & Bambi just moments before beta came to an end. Simple moments like that I'll never forgot. I miss the way the game used to be, and I miss the people that made it special.

James Strang[edit]

FAIR have now provided me with their sources for the James Strang Statements:

1) Roger Van Noord, King of Beaver Island: The Life and Assassination of James Jesse Strang (Urbana: University of Illinois Press, 1988), 33-35,97, 102, 163, 219;

2) Doyle C. Fitzpatrick, The King Strang Story: AVindication of James J. Strang, the Beaver Island Mormon King (Lansing, MI: National Heritage, 1970), 34-38;

3) Milo M. Quaife, Th eKingdom of Saint James: A Narrative of the Mormons [sic] (New Haven:Yale University Press, 1930), 2-8, 16-19, 92-93, 185-189.

We can now use these books to site the statement that Strang's witnesses admitted it was all a scam. Routerone (talk) 15:24, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! As soon as I have some time, I will use these on the Strang and Voree Plates articles. --CABEGOD 22:48, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 17:26, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
