I really don't get how to reply to this message, but I don't get how to do several things on Wikipedia yet, as its not friendly for new user's. Despite that, if you are seeing this, please know that the top article on Ken Orabone is not a personal attack. It is the first part of a larger character project used with each person's permission. What do I need to do to show this to you?

As for the copyright violation, I have added and edited information from a site that is copied all over the web. It's a school which allows their informaiton to be used freely for purposes exactly like this. What's the exact issue that you find fault with? CSC-2020 21:13, 21 December 2006

Is there a tag on the original site somewhere saying that it is licensed under GDFL, or something like that? If you can provide a link to that, people will understand that it's not a copyvio. The issue is that Wikipedia does not copyright its articles -- that's why you'll see copies of them all over the internet. For this reason, we have to be very careful about not taking material that has copyright protection -- it would be a bit like borrowing someone's car and then giving it to charity...However there are other sites that operate under the same principle. However, one can't assume that that is the case, they have to state it on the site. If they do however, just post that link on the talk page of the article when you create it, and mention in the edit summary that the work is not copyrighted and that other editors should see the talk page -- you won't have any problems. I'm sorry you're not finding Wikipedia friendly for newcomers. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have on my talk page. Welcome! (really :)) Dina 22:10, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove speedy tags[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Pleasing fungus beetle. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Dina 03:32, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I thought that was the point. I did this on both pages listed above, but it won't happen again. CSC-2020 21:14, 21 December 2006

Don't worry about it, mistakes happen! Cheers Dina 22:04, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
