Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Daniel Lee Celebration Edition 01.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Pensiangan unopposed[edit]

Hi and welcome. In the page Malaysian general election, 2008, under the "Reason of win" section for Pensiangan, u wrote: "Returning officer mistakenly accepted opponents' nominations after nomination period". This is not a reason of win. It seems confusing and doesnt explain why the other candidates lost. A simple explanation why Kurup won was: The other two candidates arrived late. I'm not sure why we have to explain mistakes by the returning officer. ќמшמφטтгמtorque 04:08, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please correct me again what im not understanding. The mistake made by the returning officer caused the EC to announce that there would be a three-way fight. I ask a simple question: Did the mistake made by the returning officer caused Kurup to win? No. Kurup won because the other candidates disqualified. I think this is a much simple and straightforward explanation. ќמшמφטтгמtorque 08:46, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are multiple problems with these images:

  1. You are uploading them as "For use in Wikipedia only" which is not an acceptable license. Items uploaded with this license are immediately deleted. If this is the restriction the (c) holder has placed on them, then they can not be used here.
  2. You stated the Director has given permission - the director most likely does not have the ability to give permission for use, as the (c) holder is not the director but the film company MHZ Film Sdn. Bhd.
  3. There is a limit on the number of non-free images (and these would all be non-free) used in any article. The film poster is 1, and that would leave only 1 or 2 others that would be acceptable (there's not set limit, but c. 3 is the norm). Even if you uploaded these as "non-free screenshot" you'd run into the same problem with the number of images used
  4. To prove the film company has released these images for general use, you'll have to go through the WP:OTRS system to get specific written release for each one of them.

You will need to clear up all of these problems before the images could be used herein. Skier Dude (talk) 08:06, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The director may have permission to use them, but again, you're going to need to prove that this permission has been given to Wikipedia from the film company. The only way to do this as it stands now is with the WP:OTRS system. And, combined images are counted by the number of images that are combined therein, so that's never a legitimate work-around of fair use. Skier Dude (talk) 08:32, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No thanks[edit]

Please consider this your first warning that if you continue to add dead picture links to Muallaf such as [1] and [2] you will be blocked from editing for disruption/vandalism. You need to rectify the images (c) status before adding "redlinks" to articles. Skier Dude (talk) 16:14, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:P2140024edited5pg.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:P2140024edited5pg.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Mkativerata (talk) 20:25, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Chinapress 20110518.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Chinapress 20110518.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
