Hello, CalebNoble, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Zeal[edit]

We're usually a lot gentler with first-time dabblers. However, we were dealing with literally hundreds of them, all trying the same vandalism over and over and over and over again, within the same timespan. As such, we had to crack down hard. DS 12:41, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For that anonymous user, it wasn't just the talk page. It was also the article. I'd like you to consider the nature of the edits made by people who get blocked under those circumstances (or, alternately, the deliberately inflammatory usernames they create).

I do acknowledge that "dumbshit" was too harsh. I saw no comments about his criticism of Wikipedia admins until you drew them to my attention. I also acknowledge that I conflated two anonymous IPs, one of whom vandalized Latchkey mere seconds before the second one left a not-entirely-serious comment on Latchkey kid. The "issues" are largely exasperation with constant attempts at vandalism. May I ask what you perceive as a "pattern"? Thank you for your concern. DS 03:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Jose Celso Barbosa Post Office Designation Act[edit]

Hi CalebNoble, Your support for the article is great. However' the proper site to post your vote would be here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr. Jose Celso Barbosa Post Office Building Designation Act and not on the articles talk page. Please participate again because your support is very important. Thank you Tony the Marine 03:52, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing warnings from userpages[edit]

Up untill recently it was considered vandalism to blank warnings from talk pages, because Wikipedians thought that the ones who were warned were only hiding their warnings as if they never done it. Lately, I see that it is no longer vandalism, and it has a long discussion over at Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/Removing warnings on what it is and how to deal with it. However, that anon was blocked because of other things besides blanking pages. --LBMixPro <Speak|on|it!> 09:05, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

>I got your message about Ann Wright. If you people stop deleting the truth about Mr. Loofah cutting off her mike, then us people wouldn't have to exaggerate a little. - Babalooo 01:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
