February 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Gerald Achee (Gerry Drum) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Gerald Achee (Gerry Drum) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://stjamestimesarchives.blogspot.com/2010/03/village-drums-of-freedom-travel-through.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 12:51, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Gerald Achee (Gerry Drum) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gerald Achee (Gerry Drum) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MichiHenning (talk) 00:03, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have had this page deleted once already and just recreated it. I still do not see where you would have established notability via reliable and secondary source. In addition, you have spammed quite a number of pages with links to yourself. Please refrain from spamming the encyclopaedia. --MichiHenning (talk) 21:55, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The references you cited appear insufficient to establish notability. MichiHenning (talk) 22:17, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits to Djembe, Master Drummer and other pages[edit]

Please refrain from adding the names of people who are not notable djembe players. If you want to propose addition of a name, do so on the talk page and explain why the person is a notable djembefola, together with reliable sources. --MichiHenning (talk) 23:38, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have yet again reverted your recent edit to the Djembe page. Babatunde Olatunji and Count Ossie are not notable djembefolas. They are notable drummers, but not on the djembe. If you insist on including their names, please provide reliable sources that show them to be notable djembe players. --MichiHenning (talk) 00:21, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please provide links to the YouTube videos you mention in your recent edit to the Djembe page? I would like to have to look. Note that the existence of YouTube videos does not establish notability. Please familiarise yourself with Wikipedia policies on notability: WP:N --MichiHenning (talk) 01:11, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

May 2012[edit]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. —slakrtalk / 06:53, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
