Many thanks for telling me "photo was taken in September 1990 at the Filharmonia Narodowa in Warsaw. Photographer unknown, photo in general circulation in Poland." I was hoping to find a sourec that had this date so that we could add the date to the caption underneath. (Please feel free to reply here, as your Talk Page is on my watchlist.) Kind regards. Hi Martin - The source is "composer's widow": I was there. I took almost identical picture a few moments later. I can, when I have a moment, get the exact date from my late husband's publishers. Or maybe, if I search, I can find the concert programme. Remind me in a few days. I have massive proofs to correct this week. Some people are horribly careless about dates. I do not give precise dates unless I am absolutely sure! Should I send a portrait of my husband to properly head the article?? This is the first time I've gone into a Wikipedia site, but there were so many errors, it was necessary. Does a source have to be a written one rather than unwritten but given by a witness? Written points are so often inaccurate, and just putting them into print doesn't make them true. best wishes, Camilla.

Thank you so much Camilla. It's such a privilege to have someone as close to the subject as yourself, contributing to this article. But alas yes, written sources from reliable sources are always required, quite regardless of any "unwritten witness" evidence. Essentially it has to be something published in the public domain. A concert programmme would be perfectly acceptable. In fact an image of such a programme would probably make a wonderful addition to the article in itself. Personally, I don't doubt the veracity of your memeory. But Wikipedia generally requires written proof. Also, it's worth noting that the project values "verifiabiity" over "accuracy" - so a written date will be preferred over your own memory, even if you know it is wrong! Somewhat bizarre, I know.

Yes, I'm sure any portrait of better quality than the current one, would be welcomed. The best way would be to upload an electronic version via the Commons website - (I could advise further when you have time.) You must remember of course, if you do this, that you are releasing any image into the public domain - so that anyone could then use it in future, for whatever purpose. It's not possible to get it back under any copyright once it's been released. I must say that the current image is quite a good one, even without any exact date. But that's a decison for you.

Dear Camilla. Thank you so much for casting your eye over the Wikipedia article. If there are any further ways in which you think the article could be improved I will be happy to help (your edit summary said "still some inaccuracies exist"): please leave a message on my talk page, or here. I provided quite a bit of input into the article when it was first written; my references were almost entirely Jacobsen's book and Andrzej's autobiography (my signed copy is a treasured possession) together with CD notes and informed by my memory of watching Andrjez's appearance as guest on Face the Music. I don't edit Wikipedia very often any more, but I do still feel it is important to avoid any propagation of inaccuracy, particularly about figures of such lasting cultural importance as Andrzej Panufnik. Thank yo so much for the warm things you say about my husband. It means a lot to me. I will go through it once more because there are still minor matters to put right Also there are several more books and theses available about Andrzej Panufnik, and yet two more books in the pipeline. IT might be good to update important items in the Centenary Squence of concerts. I am currently listing further concerts. In Poland this autumn season is now more or less fixed. One recent known high spot is the Chicago performances with their great trumpeter and Muti, another the Edinburgh Festival. I simply don't gave time to do this properly until next weekend. But all my thanks again for your serious interest.
