AfD nomination of The fandango[edit]

I have nominated The fandango, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The fandango. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. • Thanks. this really isn't a b.s. thing. it's really meant for the parents of the kids that come to our summer camp. we take them on fandango hunts, and we tell them the Ho Chunk legend. some summers, we even get a tribe member to come tell itCampMythmaker (talk) 03:18, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
At this point it's not up to me if it gets deleted or not - it's determined by community consensus. If you can substantially improve the article according to our guidelines (which include, but are not limited to, notability, original research, reliable sources, and verifiability) then you may be able to convince the community to keep the article. Right now, however, it violates several policies, specifically the ones I named, and should be deleted. If you have any more questions, please let me know. The discussion will end on September 28th, at which time another administrator (not myself or anyone who has commented in the discussion already) will close it and determine what the consensus was. P.S. - It might also be worth noting that Wikipedia is not here to act as your personal website. If that is truly the purpose of this article, you might be better off posting it on your camp's website. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, meant to hold information on notable subjects and reference the information to reliable sources. Hersfold (t/a/c) 14:39, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
right, because Wikipedia is just brimming with all kinds of reliable information. Like those drunk lumberjacks who invented the hodag...139.78.98.249 (talk) 17:32, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fandango newsletter[edit]

Hi CampMythmaker. Your "The Fandango" story is interesting. You might want to consider submitting it to "Fandango", a newsletter by the Rushford, Wisconsin artist Billy X. Curmano that is identified as "continually in print since 1983 as a tongue in cheek peek at art adventures and random thoughts." Seems like a good fit. -- Suntag 14:59, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
