Speedy deletion nomination of CampBX[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on CampBX, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Campbxbtc. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article CampBX, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 07:28, 13 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:25, 13 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Sir / Ma'm

I hope you are doing well.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I apologize for overlooking the Wikipedia's guidelines. I request you to kindly unblock this page so i can edit observing the guidelines making sure that the new contents will obey all the terms, conditions and guidelines formed by Wikipedia

Decline reason:

The new name looks OK, but your reasons for unblocking don't. Wikipedia is not for bringing revolutions to anything (except in its own creation as a multi-user encyclopaedia]. 'Making people aware' suggests that your intention is advertising. Keeping people updated about things - maybe. But it still suggests promotion to me. In addition, please be aware that 'we' do not use this account. A Wikipedia account is for one person only and the password must not be shared. As to having a page, please read WP:CORP about the necessary notability that companies require, and WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability. Wikipedia is not a directory, and there is no right to have an article here. We also prefer articles to be written by people outside companies as people inside (especially Media Teams) find it very difficult to achieve the neutrality required, and also find it difficult to understand that they do not 'own' the article. No you would not. I say this because a Wikipedia account must be used by one person only, and your posting makes it clear that this account is operated by more than one person. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 10:43, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
