Help

Where do I start and what should I do upon starting out?

Start from the articles in which you have some knowledge. Or the articles which interest you. (But with NPOV) Or just search for some errors. Maybe there are some articles that you can create. There are so many options.

@Acagastya: Thanks for helping me out there. I think I'll start by fixing up typos or grammatical mistakes that I find. I'll be one of the local janitors, I guess.

By low quality, do you mean STUB? You can see how to write better articles and also how to improve stubs.
