Pope Center

Can you please explain the Pope Center edits (I thought we had settled this already)? Melehey's comments were published by the newsletter of the website of the chief professional faculty organization in the country (i.e. they are _not_ self-published), and the PC wiki page makes it clear it is his analysis and opinion -- the suggested edits, in contrast misattribute to him comments that are not his. On the other hand, Leef's comments on academic publishing are solely his own opinion, not a statement of fact, and the quote should indicate that accurately. The newsletter is not RS. He ran the organization, so even if it were to be considered a reliable source it is published by his organization, he self-published. It is the very definition. Capitalismojo (talk) 01:02, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

Can you please indicate where you found information that has Melehy as the head of the American Association of University Professors? I also find it odd that you don't consider the description of the Pope Center itself on its own page as self-published. This information is used extensively throughout the Wikipedia page, and it also seems to fit the definition of a self-reference that you are employing in this case.Adrian Demos (talk) 16:29, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
