Welcome to the 2012 WikiCup[edit]

Hello, and welcome to the 2012 WikiCup! The competition officially began at the start of 2012 (UTC), and so you are free to claim any content from after that time. Your submission page, where you must note any content for which you wish to claim points, can be found here, and formatting instructions can be found in hidden comments on the page. A bot will then update the main table, which can be seen on the WikiCup page. The full rules for what will and will not be awarded points can be found at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring. There's also a section on that page listing the changes that have been made to the rules this year, so that experienced participants can get up-to-date in a few seconds. One point of which we must remind everyone; you may only claim points for content upon which you have done significant work, and which you have nominated, in 2012. For instance, articles written or good article reviews started in 2011 are not eligible for points.

This round will last until late February, and signups will remain open until the middle of February. If you know of anyone who may like to take part, please let them know about the comeptition; the more the merrier! At the end of this round, the top 64 scorers will progress to the next round, where their scores will reset, and they will be split into pools. Note that, by default, you have been added to our newsletter list; we will be in contact at the end of every month with news. You're welcome to remove yourself from this list if you do not wish to hear from us. Conversely, those interested in following the competition are more than welcome to add themselves to the list. Please direct any questions towards the judges, or on the WikiCup talk page. Good luck! J Milburn (talk) and The ed17 (talk) 22:46, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work[edit]

Hey there, nice work with all the city neighourhood templates. Looking forward to more work from you. If you're free, could you also create one for Peshawar? And please also consider becoming a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Pakistani cities. Happy editing! Mar4d (talk) 13:29, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And also Islamabad. Just noticed that it doesn't have one either. I'll be willing to help too. Mar4d (talk) 13:36, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, I am doing and I am trying to do this with all cities in Pakistan. I am a little busy these days but instead trying. Thanks for appreciate.-- Assassin'S creed T - E - C - G - 13:51, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2012 January newsletter[edit]

WikiCup 2012 is off to a flying start. At the time of writing, we have 112 contestants; comparable to last year, but slightly fewer than 2010. Signups will remain open for another week, after which time they will be closed for this year. Our currrent far-away leader is Conradh na Gaeilge Grapple X (submissions), due mostly to his work on a slew of good articles about The X-Files; there remain many such articles waiting to be reviewed at good article candidates. Second place is currently held by Minnesota Ruby2010 (submissions), whose points come mostly from good articles about television episodes, although good article reviews, did you knows and an article about a baroness round out the score. In third place is Mauritius Jivesh boodhun (submissions), who has scored 200 points for his work on a single featured article, as well as points for work on others, mostly in the area of pop music. In all, nine users have 100 or more points. However, at the other end of the scale, there are still dozens of participants who are yet to score. Please remember to update your submission pages promptly!

The 64 highest scoring participants will advance to round 2 in a month's time. There, they will be split into eight random groups of eight. The score needed to reach the next round is not at all clear; last year, 8 points guaranteed a place. The year before, 20.

A few participants and their work warrant a mention for achieving "firsts" in this competition.

  • Florida 12george1 (submissions) was the first to score, with his good article review of Illinois v. McArthur.
  • Florida 12george1 (submissions) was also the first to score points for an article, thanks to his work on Hurricane Debby (1982)- now a good article. Tropical storms have featured heavily in the Cup, and good articles currently have a relatively fast turnaround time for reviews.
  • Russia Sp33dyphil (submissions) was the first to score points for a did you know, with Russian submarine K-114 Tula. Military history is another subject which has seen a lot of Cup activity.
  • Russia Sp33dyphil (submissions) is also the first person to successfully claim bonus points. Terminator 2: Judgment Day is now a good article, and was eligible for bonus points because the subject was covered on more than 20 other Wikipedias at the start of the competition. It is fantastic to see bonus points being claimed so early!
  • Byzantine Empire Speciate (submissions) was the first to score points for an In the News entry, with Paedophryne amauensis. The lead image from the article was also used on the main page for a time, and it's certainly eye-catching!
  • Mauritius Jivesh boodhun (submissions) was the first to score points for a featured article, and is, at the moment, the only competitor to claim for one. The article, "Halo" (Beyoncé Knowles song), was also worth double points because of its wide coverage. While this is an article that Jivesh and others have worked on for some time, it is undeniable that he has put considerable work into it this year, pushing it over the edge.

We are yet to see any featured lists, featured topics or good topics, but this is unsurprising; firstly, the nomination processes with each of these can take some time, and, secondly, it can take a considerable amount of time to work content to this level. In a similar vein, we have seen only one featured article. The requirement that content must have been worked on this year to be eligible means that we did not expect to see these at the start of the competition. No points have been claimed for featured portals or pictures, but these are not content types which are often claimed; the former has never made a big impact on the WikiCup, while the latter has not done so since 2009's competition.

A quick rules clarification before the regular notices: If you are concerned that another user is claiming points inappropriately, please contact a judge to take a look at the article. Competitors policing one another can create a bad atmosphere, and may lead to inconsistencies and mistakes. Rest assured that we, the judges, are making an effort to check submissions, but it is possible that we will miss something. On a loosely related note: If you are concerned that your nomination, be it at good article candidates, a featured process or anywhere else, will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. GOCE Drive wrap-up[edit]

Guild of Copy Editors January 2012 backlog elimination drive
GOCE January 2012 Backlog Elimination progress graph

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors January 2012 Backlog elimination drive! Here is your end-of-drive wrap-up newsletter.

Participation

45 people signed up for this drive this time; of these, 35 participated. This is similar to the number of editors who helped out in November. Thanks to all who participated! Barnstars will be distributed in the near future.

Progress report

Recent drives have been focusing on the oldest three months in the backlog. During this drive we were successful in eliminating our target months—July, August, and September 2010—from the queue, and there are less than 300 articles remaining from 2010. End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here.

When working on the backlog, please keep in mind that there are options other than copy editing available; some articles may be candidates for deletion, or may not be suitable for copy editing at this time for other reasons. The {{GOCEreviewed}} tag can be placed on any article you find to be totally uneditable, and you can nominate for deletion any that you discover to be copyright violations or completely unintelligible. If you need help deciding what to do, please contact any of the coordinators.

Thank you for participating in the January 2012 drive! All contributions are appreciated. Our next copy edit drive will be in March.

Kalma Chowk[edit]

I just noticed you created Kalma Chowk Flyover. Isn't that the same thing as Kalma Chowk? Should they both be merged? Mar4d (talk) 06:30, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for noticing that but I think they should not be merged as Kalma Chowk is a junction or a square but Kalma Chowk Flyover is an overpass or an bridge over the Ferozepur Road. Kalma Chowk is just in a little area but Kalma Chowk Flyover is an about 1 or 2 km long bridge passing over it. So how they should be merged as they are in different categories?-- Assassin'S creed T - E - C - G - 07:39, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I understand, but the issue is that Kalma Chowk is a lot older (it was built in the 1980s) while the flyover is recently built. Both are synonymous. How about redirecting Kalma Chowk into Kalma Chowk Flyover? The article will be mainly about the overpass but also explain in part that it is built over the Kalma Chowk square. Having two seperate articles is redundant when both could be explained in just one article. Both articles are also stubs, so better to have one major article. Mar4d (talk) 08:37, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, idea is nice but my idea was to keep both separately, as one is square and other is bridge. But now your time to decide because you are most experienced then me, thanks.-- Assassin'S creed T - E - C - G - 10:48, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I saw your message at User:Mar4d's talk page. Be happy to have you help in trying to get the article to good article status. AssociateAffiliate (talk) 22:23, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

AfD and PROD[edit]

Hi Assassin's Creed. Awhile back you got either an AfD or PROD notification, and it was during one of the template testing project's experiments. If you could go here and leave us some feedback about what you think about the new versions of the templates we tested, that would be very useful. We're specifically looking for info about whether the messages were more effective at communicating how people should participate in deletion processes as the author of the article. (You can also email me at swalling@wikimedia.org if you want.) Thanks! Steven Walling (WMF) • talk 00:36, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GOCE March copy edit drive[edit]

Invitation from the Guild of Copy Editors

The Guild of Copy Editors invites you to participate in their March 2012 Backlog elimination drive, a month-long effort to reduce the size of the copy edit backlog. The drive begins on March 1 at 00:00 (UTC) and ends on March 31 at 23:59 (UTC). Our goal for the drive will be to eliminate the remaining 2010 articles from the queue. Barnstars will be awarded to anyone who copy edits more than 4,000 words, and special awards will be given to the top 5 in the following categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words". We hope to see you there! – Your drive coordinators: Dank, Diannaa, Stfg, and Coordinator emeritus SMasters. 19:27, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu cover.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu cover.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Non-free rationale for File:Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu cover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:43, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request for a look at my attempt to wikify List of products by Dapol[edit]

Hey, there. I've been doing a little bit of wikifying of some articles and was wondering if you would have a look at List of products by Dapol and let me know if there's any more wikifying I could do to this article. I have no knowledge of the topic, so can't really add any content or even judge the existing content. Also, I have no interest in the topic, so I don't have much motivation to research a lot to add any more. I've done some extensive research already to find the accurate links I've added.

If you could have a look at the article and leave some advice on the talk page, it would be much appreciated. :) Matt (talk) 09:24, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2012 February newsletter[edit]

Round 1 is already over! The 64 highest scorers have progressed to round 2. Our highest scorer was Conradh na Gaeilge Grapple X (submissions), again thanks mostly to a swathe of good articles on The X-Files. In second place was United Kingdom Tigerboy1966 (submissions), thanks an impressive list of did you knows about racehorses. Both scored over 400 points. Following behind with over 300 points were Minnesota Ruby2010 (submissions), Wales Cwmhiraeth (submissions), Wisconsin Miyagawa (submissions) and Scotland Casliber (submissions). February also saw the competition's first featured list: List of colleges and universities in North Dakota, from Minnesota Ruby2010 (submissions). At the other end of the scale, 11 points was enough to secure a place in this round, and some contestants with 10 points made it into the round on a tiebreaker. This is higher than the 8 points that were needed last year, but lower than the 20 points required the year before. The number of points required to progress to round 3 will be significantly higher.

The remaining contestants have been split into 8 pools of 8, named A through H. Round two will finish in two months time on 28 April, when the two highest scorers in each pool, as well as the next 16 highest scorers, will progress to round 3. The pools were entirely random, so while some pools may end up being more competitive than others, this is by chance rather than design.

The judges would like to point out two quick rules reminders. First, any content promoted during the interim period (that is, on or after 27 February) is eligible for points in round 2. Second, any content worked on significantly this year is eligible for points if promoted in this round. On a related note, if you are concerned that your nomination, be it at good article candidates, a featured process or anywhere else, will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which would otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! Election article titles[edit]

Hello Rafhan. Just to let you know, we don't use the phrase "general elections" in those kind of article titles, as that would make it appear that there was more than one election (so it would appropriate to have "Pakistani regional elections, XXXX", as there would be elections in more than one region). I've moved all the articles back. Also, the italics in the election template are used to denote future elections. Cheers, Number 57 13:53, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Got it, thanks.-- Assassin'S Creed T - E - C - G - 13:56, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Triage engagement strategy released[edit]

Hey guys!

I'm dropping you a note because you filled out the New Page Patrol survey, and indicated you'd be interested in being contacted about follow-up work. This is to notify you that we've finally released both the initial documentation about the project and also the engagement strategy, which sets out how we plan to work with the community on this. Please give both a read, and leave any comments or suggestions you have on the talkpage, on my talkpage, or in my inbox - okeyes@wikimedia.org.

It's awesome to finally get to start work on this! :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 02:39, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Helloooo[edit]

I saw you concerning the sign up for the new NPP thingy. I hadn't seen you in awhile. How are doing? How is the studies going? I think the last time we talk you were gearing up for some tests. Bgwhite (talk) 06:51, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I am good and my studies good too. Actually I am getting training of 3ds Max and busy there. And on Wiki I am doing some busy work on Wikify, GOCE and on some templates now-a-days. By the way, I thought you forgot me, just kidding :). How are you and what's up, I think you are much busy in editing?-- Assassin'S Creed T - E - C - G - 14:46, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! and I forgot, Congratulations for the 120,000+ edits.-- Assassin'S Creed T - E - C - G - 14:50, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have bad short term memory. I just forgot to reply back. 3ds Max... are you going into film, games or design? I don't want to date myself, but I started playing with AutoCAD about 18 years ago. I'm not artistic at all, so I'm jealous of you. Creating something from nothing take great talent. I'm just a gnome in Wikiland. I look at all new biography articles, tag, clean, do the appropriate talk banners. Getting to 120,000 edits just means I've wasted alot of time here instead of doing something meaningful :)
So, you are playing with AWB. The most important thing is what do you want todo with it? Are you trying to fix something in a particular category? Just general cleanup? Anything else? Bgwhite (talk) 04:36, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, I think its not wasting of time what you are doing here. By the way, I want to work with Template:Persondata and Template:DEFAULTSORT and their respective categories on AWB. Just tell me something about settings and some useful tips.-- Assassin'S Creed T - E - C - G - 05:18, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And check out my edits did with the AWB, is there any mistake? And give me some tasks from Wikipedia:Contribution Team if you can that.-- Assassin'S Creed T - E - C - G - 05:29, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll check the edits in a bit. There really is nothing todo with DEFAULTSORT. It's an area I work in and it is mostly under control. It is also a very difficult area because of all the different ways people sort their names around the world and also when the lived.
Persondata is different. There needs to be alot of work done in that area. If doing just persondata, then Wikipedia:Persondata-o-matic is a very easy tool to use. There will be an update shortly that corrects a major bug and a better way to select files to work on. Right now, you can only choose random files. Soon, you can import a list of names. The names would be in the same category, say footballers. This makes thing easier because of the familiarity of one category... you know what to look for and know what to put in. Category:Persondata templates without short description parameter is a place that needs help. Bgwhite (talk) 05:44, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

←I see a major error in your AWB work with DEFAULTSORT. Chinese names have a different sort order than "Western" order. Their surname or family name comes first. Hold of on doing DEFAULTSORT. It is a very tricky area. Bgwhite (talk) 05:47, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also seeing errors on Spanish and Portuguese names. They can have two names for their surname or family name. Also, prefixes (de, del, van, al, der) that come just before their family name. Sometimes you sort on the prefix and sometimes you don't. It depends on what country they lived in. Bgwhite (talk) 05:52, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I have left the DEFAULTSORT and now on Persondata-o-matic. What about this?-- Assassin'S Creed T - E - C - G - 06:01, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Still use AWB for persondata for know. The next release of Persondata-o-matic will correct some problems that will make it much easier to use. Bgwhite (talk) 06:17, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

←← Make sure you fill in all the fields if possible. For Ziya Pasha, here is the edit I made. The birth place and death place may be anywhere in the article. If you see it, add it. I can recognize alot of cities and what country they are located, but sometimes I have to look up the city to know what country the city is in. The "short description" field, I also added "politician" because he was a Governor. I usually add the description in which they were notable for. For example, at the top, the person's information may state they are a singer and an actor. The article may never mention anything about their acting career, so "short description=Musician". Just use your best judgement. BTW... Ziya Pasha's DEFAULTSORT=Ziya Pasha. Pasha is an honorary title given to Ottoman politicians.

In AWB, make sure you have RegexTypoFix checked. It is not checked by default. It checks for common spelling mistakes among other things. You can find it under the "options" tab in the bottom middle area.

In AWB, you can save the summaries, so the next time you start up AWB, you don't have to re-enter them. It is located under "Options" at the top and is named summaries.

Don't worry about making mistakes. I had a mentor help for me for awhile when I first started on AWB. Bgwhite (talk) 06:17, 5 March 2012 (UTC) Don't worry about the mistakes so far. Page Triage newsletter[edit]

Hey guys!

Thanks to all of you who have commented on the New Page Triage talkpage. If you haven't had a chance yet, check it out; we're discussing some pretty interesting ideas, both from the Foundation and the community, and moving towards implementing quite a few of them :).

In addition, on Tuesday 13th March, we're holding an office hours session in #wikimedia-office on IRC at 19:00 UTC (11am Pacific time). If you can make it, please do; we'll have a lot of stuff to show you and talk about, including (hopefully) a timetable of when we're planning to do what. If you can't come, for whatever reason, let me know on my talkpage and I'm happy to send you the logs so you can get an idea of what happened :). WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest[edit]

Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.

As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.

If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.

You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

New Page Triage newsletter[edit]

Hey all!

Thanks to everyone who attended our first office hours session; the logs can be found here, if you missed it, and we should be holding a second one on Thursday, 22 March 2012 at 18:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office. I hope to see you all there :).

In the meantime, I have greatly expanded the details available at Wikipedia:New Page Triage: there's a lot more info about precisely what we're planning. If you have ideas, and they aren't listed there, bring them up and I'll pass them on to the developers for consideration in the second sprint. And if you know anyone who might be interested in contributing, send them there too!

GOCE March drive newsletter[edit]

Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive update

GOCE March 2012 Backlog Elimination progress graphs

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! Here's the mid-drive newsletter.

Participation: We have had 58 people sign up for this drive so far, which compares favorably with our last drive, and 27 have copy-edited at least one article. If you have signed up but have not yet copy-edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us!

Progress report: Our target of completing the 2010 articles has almost been reached, with only 56 remaining of the 194 we had at the start of the drive. The last ones are always the most difficult, so thank you if you are able to help copy-edit any of the remaining articles. We have reduced the total backlog by 163 articles so far.

Special thanks: Special thanks to Stfg, who has been going through the backlog and doing some preliminary vetting of the articles—removing copyright violations, doing initial clean-up, and nominating some for deletion. This work has helped make the drive a more pleasant experience for all our volunteers.

Your drive coordinators – Dianna (talk), Stfg (talk), and Dank (talk)

help triage some feedback[edit]

Hey guys.

I appreciate this isn't quite what you signed up for, but I figured as people who are already pretty good at evaluating whether material is useful or not useful through Special:NewPages, you might be interested :). Over the last few months we've been developing the new Article Feedback Tool, which features a free text box. it is imperative that we work out in advance what proportion of feedback is useful or not so we can adjust the design accordingly and not overwhelm you with nonsense.

This is being done through the Feedback Evaluation System (FES), a tool that lets editors run through a stream of comments, selecting their value and viability, so we know what type of design should be promoted or avoided. We're about to start a new round of evaluations, beginning with an office hours session tomorrow at 18:00 UTC. If you'd like to help preemptively kill poor feedback, come along to #wikimedia-office and we'll show you how to use the tool. If you can't make it, send me an email at okeyes@wikimedia.org or drop a note on my talkpage, and I'm happy to give you a quick walkthrough in a one-on-one session :).

All the best, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:30, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rafhan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be a notable given name, and cannot even be considered a disambiguation page as there are no links to people with this name and indeed no pages on Wikipedia of people with this name.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

(Notifying you because you are the article creator.) Mr. Absurd (talk) 03:56, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help an editor out[edit]

Assassin, could you help an editor out. He is alot like you when you first started... very eager and making mistakes. Plus, he is Pakistani, so hopefully there are some common things between you two... Pakistan is a "small" country, you are bound to know each other. I've asked him to contact before, but just in case, he is User:Cool Angel. Bgwhite (talk) 06:08, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cool Angel was just block for creating sockpuppet accounts. Seems they were creating accounts to influence an AfD. The admin who did the block said the person has been repeatedly blocked in the past, but didn't give any evidence. I've asked for clarification. Bgwhite (talk) 17:54, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The admin just responded. The sockpuppet report hasn't been put under the main sockpuppet account yet. Everything will be under Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sabeeel43 once the latest report updated. Bgwhite (talk) 18:02, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Until the two SPI cases are merged, see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cool Angel. JohnCD (talk) 20:12, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sorry Bgwhite, I was in my home town last days so couldn't use WP. Ok well, now the user is blocked I think.-- Assassin'S Creed T - E - C - G - 07:11, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
