Notability of ORSYP S.A[edit]

A tag has been placed on ORSYP S.A, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DarkSaber2k 11:36, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, and thanks for your message about the above. Your points are noted, and may I take this chance to let you know what I think. Firstly I concur that the company has been subject of a number of secondary sources, so tick for that one. When you recreate the article, I'd like to see real hyperlinks or published references which I can use to validate the sources, that would help enormously. Secondly, while job scheduling isn't high glamour, you still need to provide verifiable sources to prove ORSYP's software is widely used in the industry. Again the provision of hyperlinks, or references to published sources would be greatly appreciated.

Once again, thanks for contacting me. Let me know if there's anything more I can help you with. All the best, The Rambling Man 16:18, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to ignore our policies by introducing inappropriate pages, such as ORSYP S.A, to Wikipedia, you will be blocked. DarkSaber2k 10:08, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You were probably warned, because you seem to have ignored the "real hyperlinks or published references" comment above, and just re-created the article. Notability is very crucial to wikipedia, if you can't create the article with references, don't create it at all. In the current state of the article I would agree that it should be deleted. I'm not going to give you the fourth level warning because I know your intentions are good, but please, please heed the advice above before creating articles here in Wikipedia. If you continue to ignore the advice offered, you may find yourself blocked from editing for a period of time. The Rambling Man 10:56, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Compstub (a.k.a. Orsyp)[edit]

Your "template" {{Compstub}} has been speedily deleted. First, it is not a stub template, so the name is inappropriate; second - and more importantly - it looks like this is not a template, but is in fact an attempt to reintroduce deleted material (it is a thinly disguised copy of the deleted article on Orsyp SA, which you have already been warned about repeatedly. Take this as your FINAL WARNING. Any further attempts to repost this deleted article will result in you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Grutness...wha? 02:07, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. it sounds like you are acting in good faith after all - consider that warning rescinded. For future reference, if you create something and want it deleted, re-edit it and add {{db-author}} at the top. That will tell adminstrator that the person who wrote the article wants it deleted. Alternatively, you could just blank the page, which would have the same effect. Also, if you want to work on articles for a while before submitting them, you can create your own "sandbox" to work on them until they're ready to become real articles. To start one, click on the redlink User: Carimarie/Sandbox, which - once editedand saved - will make a subpage of your user page that you can use for any experiments or rough-drafts. Once you've got something looking reasonable, just copy and paste whatever's there to a new article with the proper title and save it. Grutness...wha? 10:28, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of ORSYP S.A[edit]

The article ORSYP S.A has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of WP:NCORP. Ill-referenced, most references are to (a) sponsored analyst reports (b) hosted on its own website. fr:wp version is no better. Text substantially from redlinked SPAs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
