hi[edit]

Pr Wikipedia:ARBPIA3, editors with less than 500 edits (as yourself) are not allowed to edit articles "that could be reasonably construed as being related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. This prohibition may be enforced by reverts, page protections, blocks, the use of Pending Changes, and appropriate edit filters." Cheers, Huldra (talk) 22:53, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

June 2022[edit]

Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to The Morning After (Maureen McGovern song) have been removed because you cited the information you added to another Wikipedia article or an external wiki. As discussed at WP:CIRCULAR and WP:SPS, Wikipedia and other wikis should not be used in citations because they are not considered reliable sources. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reference, perhaps from the article you originally linked to. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 13:38, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How do I reference a television program? Simply cite the season and episode number without a link the same way one references a book? CarlSerafino (talk) 13:41, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As you're trying to add an "in popular culture" item, you'd need a secondary source that discusses the use of the song per WP:IPCV, in order to establish that its use in this case attracted some level of attention. DonIago (talk) 14:13, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Must one scour the internet for a random website just to acknowledged that yes in fact a #1 hit song was used in a popular television show? Does citing the DVD for the television show count? CarlSerafino (talk) 08:07, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As a matter of establishing that anyone (i.e. anyone responsible for a reliable source) cares that the song was used in a TV show, yes, you must "scour the internet for a random website". But, consider that if you have to do so, then perhaps the fact isn't very significant to begin with. The DVD is not a secondary source so would not count. DonIago (talk) 18:43, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My Very Ghanaian Wedding moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, My Very Ghanaian Wedding, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – robertsky (talk) 15:38, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
