Esuta, Greetings to you. There is a message in your talk page which have indicated the draft article need independent, reliable sources to demonstrate the notbilit of the subject and support the content claimed. Pls note home page, IMBD, press releases, any user generated content sites and etc can NOT be used to as they are not independent from the subject. What is needed from you is to add inline citation (sources) into the draft page (see referencing for beginner to familiar yourself on referencing). Do note each Wikipedia sister language site has their policies and guidelines, in EN Wikipedia, sources are needed to verify the content and it is WP:BURDEN of the editor who input the info to provide the source info. By the way, sources CAN be in any languages. Do drop by if you need further assistance. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:41, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

Hello Cassiopeia,

We recently added to the above named Wikipedia page. You stated it was removed because there were no citations.

(1) Can you direct us how to add citations

(2) We are the Amazon Series entity in which the insert relates to (Fireball Run). So we are the (media) source of the topic.

Any advice is welcome as the Fireball Run chapter within the Sea-To-Shining-Sea-Memorial Trophy Dash legacy is of global noteworthiness.

For reference, the deleted insertion is below:

In 2007 and more closely drawing inspiration from The Cannonball Run film, the Fireball Run Adventurally began. The road rally meets hidden treasures adventure game challenges over fifty driving teams against one another in a coast-to-coast quest to locate America's obscure artifacts and hidden history. The real event inevitably became an Amazon television series in its eleventh season as of 2018.

Cheers- Fireball Run Production— Preceding unsigned comment added by Thefireballrun (talkcontribs) 08:33, October 30, 2018 (UTC)

Thefireballrun Good day. The reason the edit was reverted it because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia for such info added or changed need to support by independent, reliable sources for verification where by the person who input the info bear the WP:BURDEN to provide inline citation. You could info referencing for beginners on how to provide provide inline citation. The lead section/introduction is too long and a little messy, if you could trim down the lead section to half and create a news "Background or History" section the remanding info on the page if you wish to do that. Finally, kindly sign your post before pen off (see welcome message on your talk page). I have sent you a welcome message, there are links and info for your to read to familiar with Wikipedia policy, guidelines and help links. Pop by here if yo have further questions. Cheers. Atbreuer11 hi greetings to you. I am not sure which social blade link and which subject your referred to. If you can find independent, reliable source than you can add in the info with inline citation. If the source already in the article, pls use it and provide inline citation in the infobox (if the info is going to be place there). Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:44, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
I do not have an infobox but I have used two, independent sources as inline references. --QuantumPen 09:49, 13 November 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atbreuer11 (talkcontribs)
Atbreuer11 May I know which article are you talking about? CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:54, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Of course! It's on Lewis Hilsenteger. --QuantumPen (talk) 09:58, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Atbreuer11 First of all, do click on "New section" when starting a new message and indicate the message topic instead just placed you message on other message without a topic. For an article to be accepted, the subject need to pass notability requirements. Secondly, the content needs to be supported by independent, reliable sources which the subject is significant coverage (and NOT one or two independent, reliable -but signification coverage]]. Sources could be in any languages. Sources such as homepage, official website, utube, IMBD, press releases, interview, Linkedin, any user generated sources, sources that is associated with the subject and etc. are considered primary and/or not independent which can NOT be used to demonstrate the notability of the subject. Sources such as from major newspaper, review or books would be used. The source need to talk about the subject in length an in dept and not merely passing mentioned. It the subject is not talked about in significantly by the books/media than the subject is not notable. If anything is not clear above, pls refer to Wikipedia:The answer to life, the universe, and everything. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:14, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

List of current UFC fighters status section

Hey I just wanted to reach out to you and ask how the "Result/next fight/status" section on the "List of current UFC fighters" topic is set up. When it states the result of their last fight, I would assume that stays there until their next fight is announced? If that is the case, why do some fighters not have a status shown at all? Also for some fighters I noticed they are noted as having serving a suspension, but the suspension is up. (Quick example is Anderson Silva as he is noted as being able to resume fighting on October 26 of this year, but it still states on the page he is serving a suspension). Also when it states they are injured and out of their upcoming fight, does that at some point change to just "injured" once their fight date is passed since I've noticed some fighters status just says "injured". Just looking for some insight on how the page works and is set up. Hopefully the questions make sense, I was trying to figure out the clearest way to ask them. Brusinggiant (talk) 22:34, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Brusinggiant Good day. Thanks for the questions above and reaching out.
  1. Results - If a fighter has already fought the bout, the result should be in the info section. The result info will be removed once the next fight is announced by the press.
  2. Suspension - When a fighter has flagged by USDADA announced by press, the info will be place on the info section. If/When a suspension is announced by USADA, then the info section will be updated accordingly. Once the suspension is up, then it should be removed from the info section.
  3. Injury - When a fighter injured and out of a coming fight, the info will be recorded in the info section. The info would record only (for example) "Injury (knee) - Oct 2018/ Injured - Oct 2018" after the event which the fighter original was schedule to fight (however the reference should not be removed). The "Injury status" will remain until (1) next fight is announced by the press or (2) the injury was recovered / surgery has been performed".
Since I am the one currently updating most of the info in the page, I might have missed it and /or forget to update it. If you want, you can help to clean it up and if not, then I will do it this weekend. Thank you for bringing this up and I appreciate it. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:45, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
If I see any issues along the way I'll be sure to help out then. Otherwise, you're doing great with the page. Thanks for clearing that up. Brusinggiant (talk) 03:14, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Brusinggiant Ok thank you. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 03:22, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.15 16 November 2018

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months.

Hello Cassiopeia,

Community Wishlist Survey – NPP needs you – Vote NOW
  • Community Wishlist Voting takes place 16 to 30 November for the Page Curation and New Pages Feed improvements, and other software requests. The NPP community is hoping for a good turnout in support of the requests to Santa for the tools we need. This is very important as we have been asking the Foundation for these upgrades for 4 years.
If this proposal does not make it into the top ten, it is likely that the tools will be given no support at all for the foreseeable future. So please put in a vote today.
We are counting on significant support not only from our own ranks, but from everyone who is concerned with maintaining a Wikipedia that is free of vandalism, promotion, flagrant financial exploitation and other pollution.
With all 650 reviewers voting for these urgently needed improvements, our requests would be unlikely to fail. See also The Signpost Special report: 'NPP: This could be heaven or this could be hell for new users – and for the reviewers', and if you are not sure what the wish list is all about, take a sneak peek at an article in this month's upcoming issue of The Signpost which unfortunately due to staff holidays and an impending US holiday will probably not be published until after voting has closed.

Hi! You recently changed my page on Jakobuskirche_(Oberkotzau) because it did not have sufficient sources. However, my page was simply a translation of the original Wikipedia article, which is written in German. Since that article has not been removed for lack of sources (and I simply translated the whole thing to English), I'm confused as to why mine was. Any clarification on the matter would be much appreciated. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shield toad (talkcontribs) 15:38, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Shield toad Good day and thank you for your questions. Kindly see below:
  1. Each sister Wikipedia sites (different languages Wikipedia) has its own policies and guidelines, and from my experience, English (EN) is more strict when it comes to notability guidelines, for such what is acceptable in DE Wikipedia might not be acceptable in EN Wikipedia.
  2. I have noticed you have paid proper attribution to the creator (s) of the DE page on the article's talk page; however you might want to do a WP:dummy edit to indicate in the Help:Edit summary that as well, so it will reflect on the article history page of the EN Wikipedia page.
  3. Also, pls rework and write the article in your own words as the present stage the working is very similar that of DE article.
  4. Please note source CAN be in any languages as long as they are independent, WP:reliable sources where by the sources talk about he subject in length and in dept and not merely passing mentioned. Once you have added the appropriate sources, as long as they are not from DE books which I cant access to translation easily, do pop by and let me know and I will review it. If the "Literature" section is where the sources are then pls provide inline citation on the body text (see referencing for beginners for instructions) and change "Literature" to "References" and insert {{reflist}} after the "References, so the system could list the sources' info. Let me know if anything else I could help. Thank you and happy editing. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 06:27, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Also, FYI, I PRODed Elizabeth Smart: Autobiography, Jonestown: The Women Behind the Massacre, and Manson: Inside the Mind of a Mad Man. These all appear to have been created at the same time, are from the same recent run of A&E-produced biodocs, and I don't think any of them have enough WP:N to deserve stand-alone articles (as opposed to mentions in other articles). Hope you agree. Levivich (talk) 17:57, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi. I notified you because WP:PROD says to notify "other significant contributors." Sorry to bother you. Levivich (talk) 04:03, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Levivich thank you for your reply. I am the reviewer for both of the articles Warren Jeffs: Prophet of Evil and Waco: Madman or Messiah and I added additional independent, reliable sources to strengthen the content claimed with extra coverage to meet the Wikipedia notability guidelines. Please read WP:DEL-REASON if you want to PROP or AfD (article for deletion) an article. For PROP (propose for deletion) - we usually nominate an article that it would not survive in AfD (see WP:DEL-REASON) and we also PROP when an article about a living person but no source is provided. For AfD, you need to do a WP:BEFORE before nominate the article to be AfDed and check on the notability guidelines as each subject has diff specific notability guidelines especial sport specific notability (SSN) guidlines. Any articles that violate copyright infringement and promotion/advertising (such as to promote an organisation/company and a musician and band) and etc., you could tag CSD (criteria for speedy deletion). You could use Earwig's Copyvio Detector here to check the percentages of copyvio of the article but do note, a direct quote is NOT considered a copyright infringement if that particular statement/content in the article specifically states it is a direct quote. You could use Wikipedia:Twinkle tool to perform all these tasks. Thank you and let me know if anything else I could help. thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:41, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi CASSIOPEIA! You recently changed my page on ŽRK Pelister 2012 to draft because it did not have sufficient sources. I have improved it and i think that now it has more than one reliable sources. Please review my page again. Thanks! Dellux mkd (talk) 00:37, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Dellux mkd Good day. The sources your provided are NOT independent, reliable sources (secondary reliable sources), instead there are primary sources - (interview, listing, sources associated withe subject, home page, official site, user generated sites, random sport record coverage, meetings, and etc).
An article which pass the notability guidelines requires following
  1. the content of the subject is written in neutral point of view
  2. no copyright infringement
  3. content claimed supported by independent, reliable sources in significant coverage by media (major newspaper), reputable journals/magazines which the sources talk about the subject in length and in dept and not only passing mentioned.
  4. primary sources can be used in the content contribution but they can NOT be used to demonstrate/contribute to the notability requirements needed.
  5. sources provided CAN be in any languages.
Hope the above help and pop by if anything else I could help. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:11, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
