Your draft article, Draft:Oswald J Lassig[edit]

Hello, Cbadillo29. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Oswald J Lassig".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 16:45, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cbadillo, I noticed that you put text about yourself at Cbadillo29. This is a page for an article, so I moved it to your self page. Fightindaman (talk) 21:41, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh! thank you! Cbadillo29 (talk) 21:43, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Cbadillo29 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Gentrification[edit]

Hello Badillo -- I just participated in the rescue of Community displacement in Philadelphia which became Gentrification in Philadelphia. I kept my encyclopedia hat on, I hope. Nevertheless, I was astounded by the bullshit I read in WP and on the web. The anecdotal accounts all describe the horrors of gentrification. The numbers say otherwise. Sort of like the story of kids losing the family farm from estate taxes. Please also read Community displacement, which I felt compelled to save, but had to be separated from Philadelphia. Hi, thank you for reaching out. I will take a look at those articles you mentioned. Good luck with your future articles, Thanks! Cbadillo29 (talk) 01:58, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Gentrification of Chicago[edit]

Hi, I'm Librarygurl. Cbadillo29, thanks for creating Gentrification of Chicago!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This needs more data about impact and possible reasons for this to happen. I would look at the content in other, similar entries (like Gentrification of San Francisco )

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Thank you for your feedback! I will be working on this article over the next couple of week and will try to address the issues you mentioned. Please feel free to check again in a week or two! Cbadillo29 (talk) 15:39, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! This article has developed nicely! My biggest suggestion for final improvements would be to take another pass at the lead, and try to achieve 'summary style' as well as you can. That means the first sentence should define the topic, rather than introduce it, then the rest of the first paragraph should offer a capsule summary of the topic, and the rest of the lead section should briefly summarize each of the main topics of the rest of the article.--Sage (Wiki Ed) (talk) 22:09, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback! I'll make some time to take another look at the lead before the semester ends. Thanks! Cbadillo29 (talk) 05:05, 30 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2018 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Cbadillo29. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
