Spam links to "ExplosiveXXX"[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia. --MCB (talk) 06:21, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

YouPorn[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article YouPorn, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. -- Longhair\talk 07:17, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was blocked for creating a page about a notable website. Though I am affiliated with the website in question, I do not see this as a reasonable block, as the article was written by a third party, and only posted by me. Insertion of that page to the YouPorn page under the "Competition" section seemed reasonable as well. Ccashwell (talk) 07:38, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Wikipedia may not be used for advertising your company. It doesn't matter who wrote the content, what matters is that you posted it. See WP:COI, WP:NOTADVERTISING. You may be unblocked if you convince us that you intend to contribute something to Wikipedia that is not about that company. —  Sandstein  07:54, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I have a Master's in Political Science, with minor studies in Economics. I believe I could contribute greatly to the community, and pledge not to make further submissions related to ExplosiveXXX. Please accept my apologies and unblock my account. Thank you.

Sounds reasonable to me. -- Ned Scott 08:12, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To me as well. Please stand by as I contact the blocking admin.  Sandstein  08:45, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If Ccashwell can show that he can write an article concerning political science or economics instead of the pornography websites, then he can be unblocked.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:50, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
