Fu[edit]

I understand you are helping to write and illustrate Freddy Fu's wikipedia article. Make sure you take a look at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Not considering these policies will endanger the future of the information in the article. Keep in mind Wikipedia:Verifiability as well, as his article is in desperate need of citations. You can assume that information that is not cited, particularly about living people, will likely be challenged or removed at some point. Remember this is an encyclopedia, so the writing should generally reflect that style.

Regarding the uploading a photo of Freddy, the best way to do this is to take a picture of him yourself and upload it to Wikimedia Commons. Any photo is automatically assumed to be copyrighted by the original photographer and/or the publisher. So if you upload a photo that is used on a website, or for which you do not have authority to release it (not being the author), it will be deleted. If you take it, you hold the copyright, and can release it. Photos can be checked with reverse image searches and or flagged if they have suspicious EXIF data. The Wikipedia community can be strict with copyright issues and often will quickly delete those that are questionable.

I'm here to help, and even collaborate as I wrote the UPMC Sports Performance Complex article, and many other related ones. Feel free to contact me with any questions. CrazyPaco (talk) 09:00, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
