This was a non-notable biography as per the criteria set out in WP:BIO. (aeropagitica) 07:51, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not really sure why you deleted my entry. There was no offensive or incorrect information and I was following the example of another entry to get started. Rather than taking it down, why didn't you help me figure out what was lacking to make it a proper entry AND give me tme to make the corrections!!! Thirdly, the guidelines for biographies are held at WP:BIO, referenced in my original comment. If you require assistance in constructing a biography of someone who meets the criteria set down, please look at Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:Article development for assistance. Hi Cebo22[edit]

The image was deleted because Wikipedia has to respect copyright. See Wikipedia:Image use policy. The image was not freely available for use and released of all rights (which is necessary for Wikipedia to use the image), or this was not indicated. So it was deleted. Apologies if the guy above came across as rude - I'm sure he didn't mean it. Let me know if you have any questions. All the best, Proto::type 13:58, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aha. I've restored the image - it's at its old location, Image:ETHEL_at_Town_Hall_2006.jpg. I have also gone to the image and added the template, {{GFLD}}, which indicates you freely release this picture to be used, with no copyright or rights retained. Hope this is what you wanted. Also, to sign your name, use four tildes, like this: ~~~~. All the best (again!), Proto::type 16:08, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. The image has been redeleted. Thanks for understanding the situation... copyright status of images is something we have been forced to be very picky about. Remember that any images you upload must be free of copyright. If you created the image, you must explicitly state that you release all rights to the image. Happy editing! Image copyright problem with Image:214te6p.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:214te6p.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:
